I bought these as my Doctors strongly recommend I get on calcium supplements. I have severe acid Reflux and so have to take acid reducers and protein pump inhibitors to have a decent quality of life. Long-term use of them causes bone density loss and I'm already female, so here we are. These pills specifically were recommended by my doctors and my research online pointed to these as well, so I trust the quality. My review, specifically, is about the size of these pills. They are huge. I've had a lot of pills in my life so far, and these are the biggest I've seen. They're a full 1 inch long and just over 3/8 inch wide. They can be cut in half with reasonable ease, but boy howdy. I'm considering just getting a small mortar and pestle to grind them up like other reviewers have mentioned doing. They're not hard to swallow once I cut them in half, I don't feel, but I don't have any conditions or disability that make swallowing difficult and I'm very used to taking pills, so take my word with a grain of salt. They also don't really have a taste so no complaints there, and they don't upset my very wimpy stomach, which is always a huge plus. All in all, I will definitely continue to buy. Here's hoping I stave off osteoporosis
