Amazing for ongoing colic problems.
My son had colic from 4 weeks to 8.5 months, when the screaming more or less tapered off. James would scream 3-6 hours a day, there was literally nothing we could do about it, nothing we tried worked, no doctor we took him to offered any hope. A At two years, we were still dealing with almost constant whining, very loose poops, or chronic constipation. Then I found Culturelle. We put a packet of Culturelle in his water every day, and for the first three days he had serious diarrhea, but on the fourth day the diarrhea stopped and he was like a completely different kid. James colic was obviously based on an imbalance of bacteria in his gut, and Culturelle has leveled all that out, freeing him from the constant pain he was in. I like that Culturelle can be given to infants, no other probiotic that I've found is approved from infancy on. Culturelle is very easy to give to our son, we just pour a packet in his drink every day, it doesn't alter the flavor at all (we'd know, he's very finicky). This may not be the miracle cure for you, that it was for us, but if your child has had consistent bowel and tummy problems, it's certainly worth a try. * I'd like to add an addendum to my previous review of this product. While the probiotics are still working really well for our older son (now 3 years), when we gave the same product to our newborn, disaster struck, and struck hard. He'd been only mildly fussy, but we thought giving him the probiotics would give him the little boost he needed to be happier after a feeding, what it did was cause him extreme pain for about 18 hours. We're talking serious gas, Reflux, stomach distention... it was bad. So while I still would recommend Culturelle for an older baby, I'd advise against trying it with a newbie
