We aimed to understand how vitamin E, combined with mecobalamin, affects recurrent oral ulcers. In a study involving 58 patients, we compared this approach to a control group using a standard gargle treatment.
The results were promising: patients taking the vitamin E and mecobalamin combination experienced significantly longer intermission times and shorter healing periods. Their number of ulcers decreased, and their quality of life improved more than those in the control group. Pain levels also saw notable changes for both groups, but the test group showed greater overall effectiveness.
This suggests that vitamin E, alongside mecobalamin, can be a valuable treatment option for managing recurrent oral ulcers.
