We explored the potential of a new composite hydrogel that combines probiotics and fucoidan to aid oral ulcer healing. This study focused on how this hydrogel adheres to tissue and releases probiotics effectively. Remarkably, the hydrogels showed better therapeutic results compared to standard oral ulcer patches by promoting faster cell migration and healing.

Overall, this innovative approach suggests a promising future for treating oral ulcers more effectively than traditional methods.

Probiotic EGF improves ulcer healing
We explored the effects of delivering human epidermal growth factor (EGF) through a probiotic strain of E. coli to help treat intestinal ulcers. The study showed that treatment with EGF-EcN not only alleviated ulcers but also helped in restoring damaged barrier layers in the gut. We observed that this method promotes the recovery of important cell types and strengthens mucosal integrity. Importantly, the probiotic did not worsen any cancerous conditions related to ulcerative colitis. Overall, our findings suggest that using probiotics to deliver helpful proteins like EGF can be a safe and effective strategy for managing gastrointestinal ulcers.

We recently explored the protective effects of a specific probiotic called Bifidobacterium breve (Bif195) on small-intestinal damage caused by acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), a common pain reliever. In a randomized, double-blind trial involving 75 healthy volunteers, participants took daily doses of either Bif195 or a placebo for eight weeks.

The results were promising! Those who took Bif195 experienced significantly lower levels of intestinal damage and fewer ulcers compared to the placebo group. Importantly, the use of Bif195 was well tolerated with minimal adverse events reported.

I adore these gummies! I suffer major digestive issues due to a bleeding ulcer from years ago, leading to digestive distress and diarrhoea. Since I began taking these just before meals twice daily, I've experienced a remarkable improvement in my digestive health. Only using this for a month, I've noticed a substantial difference and will be reordering soon.

Pain relief from ulcer

For months, I endured debilitating GERD attacks. Despite no ulcer showing during an endoscopy and taking omeprazole and Zantac daily, my symptoms persisted until I started these. After a month of taking them, the pain has ceased, allowing me to stop the omeprazole too! While results may vary, I recommend giving them a try.

WJSS shows promise against ulcers
We constructed acute gastric ulcer models in mice by administering hydrochloric acid and ethanol, then introduced white jade snail secretion (WJSS) through gastric infusion. Our findings revealed that WJSS significantly reduced ulcer areas and levels of harmful substances like malondialdehyde.

The highest concentration of WJSS led to the most remarkable reduction in ulcers and improved intestinal bacteria diversity. This suggests that WJSS not only offers promising anti-ulcer effects but also promotes beneficial gut probiotics, pointing towards its potential use in ulcer treatment.

We investigated how probiotics influence healing in traumatic ulcers using an animal model. In our study, we organized rats into control, topical, and systemic probiotic groups to observe differences in healing.

After treatment, we noted that the topical administration of probiotics significantly improved the expression of important healing factors, like TNF-α, and increased the presence of immune cells that aid in recovery.

Our findings suggest that topical probiotics may be more effective than systemic methods for treating traumatic ulcers.
