NIH studies said it works-They were right!
My arthritis was getting bad enough to keep me awake at night and I am unable to take NSAID because of kidney disease. When I heard about Turmeric and researched it, I found out you need to read the label closely, to get only the EXTRACT, not the root. I looked at lots of labels and chose Dr's Best 1000 mg tablets. Then I double checked studies to be sure it wouldn't damage my kidneys. It actually HELPS kidneys and Fatty Liver disease! The NIH studies say it works by repairing Leaky Gut Syndrome, to reduce inflammation. I only wish it was a permanent cure. I tried it on an empty stomach, which is best for absorption, but I had stomach pain from it. I now take it with half a protein shake and have no problems, and it still works well. It works for my arthritis, and if I stop I notice the pain returning within a couple of days. My shoulder arthritis is better, but my rotator cuff is only partially improved, but I will take what relief I can get. I have noticed that if I am eating lots of sweets, my arthritis gets worse (sugar is inflammatory), and I take an extra pill (twice a day) and back off the sweets. This pill is worth the money to me. My daughter tried a different well known brand and it didn't help. I am buying her a big bottle of Doctor's Best today to see if it helps her
