We explored the potential of Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) as a treatment to minimize hair loss. In our study, we used twenty male Wister Albino mice, carefully dividing them into four groups to test different treatments: a control group with distilled water, a group treated with Minoxidil, one with MSM, and a group receiving a combination of MSM and Minoxidil.
Over the course of the study, we observed that the mice given MSM experienced notable improvements compared to the control group. Specifically, hair growth increased, and hair follicle numbers were significantly higher in the groups treated with MSM, whether alone or in combination with Minoxidil.
Additionally, we found a reduction in tissue levels of 8-isoprostane—a marker of oxidative stress—in the medicated groups, pointing to MSM’s antioxidant properties. There was also an increase in vascular endothelial growth factor, suggesting enhanced blood supply to the hair follicles.
Our overall conclusion is that MSM shows promise in reducing hair loss through its remarkable antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects in male mice. This research indicates that MSM could be a valuable ally in the fight against hair loss.

Posting a review from my husband's account. My husband originally bought this to help me get sulfur in my system to ward off mosquitoes, but little did I know this product is fantastic for hair and skin! After seven months postpartum, I was experiencing significant postpartum hair loss, losing handfuls of hair. Fortunately, that has completely slowed down, and my hair is already starting to regrow around the edges. Additionally, the stretch marks on my tummy have tightened a bit. I’ve been taking three a day for two weeks and am excited to continue.

This dramatically reduces hair loss! After turning sixty, my shedding increased. I suspect the reason is that I hadn't taken MSM for some time. Since restarting it a week ago, my hair loss has markedly decreased! I initially used MSM for joint support but found its positive impact on my hair surprising. I may have individual responses to it, but for me, it's truly a saviour.

Sulfur MSM - for hair and skin !!! There are 360 capsules in a can, each containing 1000 mg. According to the manufacturer's instructions, MSM should be taken once a day in the amount of 3 capsules for 120 days. After using it for about a month, I noticed an improved condition of my hair, skin and nails. It has increased my hair thickness and helped with hair loss. I can see the effect and will continue to take it. One can is enough for two courses over two months. Thank you for your attention.

Improves postpartum hair loss
Good price! I bought a considerable quantity of optiMSM 360 tablets due to its reasonable cost. The gelatin capsules contain a transparent flake type substance. It effectively addressed my postpartum hair loss, and my husband's ankle arthritis improved significantly when I took four to five capsules daily. It also seemed to enhance his skin.

I took it to treat my paronychia with vitamin C, and after 6 months, the effect gradually showed. After a year and a half, it improved by about 90%, along with my knees and hair loss. Initially, I took 2000 mg three times a day, then halved the dose after a year.
