Smells just like you are smelling the tree or opening a Cedarwood jewelry box. I love this one! I diffuse it every night with lavender and it knocks me out and keeps me out! I also found a secret use for this oil which is crazy! I add a couple drops to my dogs bath and the fleas jump right off into the water. After I wash her and dry her I then put a couple drops in my hand with some coconut oil and rub her coat all over and then put a couple drops on her collar and no fleas! I have stopped needing to use flea drops! It wears off about once a week so you can either bathe them and do this once a week OR rub your dog down once a week with fresh oil. It is crazy how well it works!!! Please please please be sure to select the "available from other sellers" option when purchasing ANY DoTERRA product though and choose to purchase from a seller who clearly posts their Wellness Advocate ID number. This will help to ensure that you are not getting a product that has been adulterated or tampered with. This is a common issue with buying name brand essential oils on Amazon. The caps are easy to rig to appear unopened and dishonest people will dilute the expensive oil or replace it with synthetic fragrance to make a buck unfortunately. I understand why people want to get their DoTERRA on here as opposed to from the website because you want to get wholesale prices without the hassle of becoming a member. I do it! However, if you want to get it on Amazon be smart and cautious about it and please just always get it from a Wellness Advocate who lists their ID number. It will be clearly posted next to their name in the column that usually has a description such as "New" or "Unopened". Add it to your cart from the seller who lists their ID. Also, watch out for sellers whose price is LESS than the wholesale cost on the DoTERRA website because that would just make no sense. Why would someone sell something for less than they paid for it if it were brand new? Know exactly what you are putting into your body or into the air that your family breathes

I mean…. who knew?

At the risk of oversharing (let's face it - it's no risk. I'm the queen of oversharing)... I had a large underground zit building a new home on the outside corner of my nose. It was painful. Throbbing. It was taking on a life of it's own (I even named it Tracy - but that's another story). It's been growing steadily for 3 days. Then I got a bottle of DoTerra Cedarwood essential oil in the mail today. I read in the reviews that it's good for skin blemishes. So I literally put one tiny drop on my finger and massaged it onto the "growth" (it wasn't a pick!). In about 30 minutes IT COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED! Granted - it's a potent smell - like a plank of wet wood shmeared with roasted almond butter. But no more pain! No more red throbbing bump! Goodbye Tracy! I'm ready to buy a case of this stuff. Any of you E.O. users out there have good experiences using Cedarwood in other ways? Do share

Strong!

It works the way I wanted it to. I put this on my feet at night, and it helps my sleep more soundly. I was surprised at how strong it was. The smell reminded me of dead cedar lying in the forest, not the smell of cedar wood like I was expecting. I found out that it's actually just because of how potent it is. If you led it diffuse a little, it actually starts to smell like cedar wood. So, five stars because I wanted it to help me relax and sleep, and it does just that

My significant other and I have been buying a few different scents of the doTERRA oils lately for the new oil diffuser we got for Christmas, and this one came highly recommended to us by a close friend. The cedarwood scent is VERY strong, but is ultimately pleasant - it has a very woodsy/rustic sort of smell to it. It sort of adds an instant feeling of homeyness to a room. For most of the doTERRA oils that we've bought so far, we've had to use a couple of extra drops in the diffuser to actually be able to smell them in other rooms. For this one, that ended up creating an overpowering aroma - just a couple drops is enough! I'm actually pretty happy about that though, the bottle will last a lot longer. So far we've either used this scent by itself, or mixed it with a few drops of lavender oil, which also gives an enjoyable, yet more subtle scent. Researching online, it sounds like that's actually somewhat of a common combination. Some of the other reviewers also mentioned it mixing well with lemon grass, which I plan to try soon - after using them individually I feel like they would pair well

loved it, and then ordered a slightly cheaper one …

Ok, I had to come write a review on this because I'm OBSESSED with it. So I tried this cedarwood oil, loved it, and then ordered a slightly cheaper one when I ran out thinking it would be as awesome...instead it smelled like candy or something. I hated it, and I just got my second order of DoTerra cedarwood today and it's in my diffuser next to my bed and my mood is elevated instantly. I only wish they sold this in a bigger bottle

Helps with fleas

I heard this works well for fleas. I think it definitely helped my cats! I put this everywhere (my bed, the rugs, even my cats and myself). They're not too happy with the scent but I think it's smells very nice, very outdoorsy. Would def purchase again when I run out

Coinsidence or Not? You decide.

had a panic attack when I used this stuff. Thought it was just a coincidence, so I tried again about 2 weeks later. had another panic attack. Giving it the benefit of the doubt, I tried a few months later... another panic attack. I understand oils affect people differently, but I have a high suspicion this stuff is fake. I used my Mother in Laws Cedarwood oil straight from DoTerra (shes a consultant), to see if I got a different result, and I was fine

Horrible smell

I thought paying more would result in better product, not the case. This did not smell like cedar or anything I would like in my atmosphere. I called amazon to ask for refund and return. Amazon was amazing, as usual and told me to keep the product and they issued me a full refund. I really love Amazon for their wonderful customer service. Unfortunately, I will be tossing the oil in the trash and search for another brand

Not as good as other doTERRA oils I have tried

I have had and used another famous brand of Cedarwood EO, and it smelled much better and sweeter than this one did. I have to mix it in with other woodsy scents to enjoy it. It does mix good with Lemon. I have tried other doTERRA oils and have liked them, and also liked that more of them are available on prime. Just a side note - I noticed that the genus and species on this was "Juniperus virginiana", while the other company's was "cedrus atlantica". Maybe this was the difference. To be fair, this one smelled more like cedar wood smells, I just liked the other one better - it had more of a sweet smell with the cedar smell

Strong

VERY strong smell. The bottle is a good size and this does help calm down my skin. I plan on mixing it with water and putting it around my home to deter pests. I mixed 2 drops of this with plain old coconut oil (one tablespoon) and added it to hot bath water. After my skin was like silk and not blotchy. Pretty happy with this product :
