Read More...We purchased this because the price/ ounce was very economical. When I opened the container everything looked good. I did notice a brown/black speck that looked like a piece of cardboard and thought that was poor quality control but ignored it and threw it in the trash. However, when transferring into a smaller container I found a HUGE piece of blue plastic in the container. I have major concerns about their quality control. On a second note, apart from the concerns about contaminants the ascorbic acid dissolves nicely and is a good looking white crystalin powder
Read More...I have been taking this for a few months now with no problems or complaints. It is a large quantity and a good deal at the price offered. Today when I scooped out my dose, I saw something funny in it. I pulled it out and it was a hair and not even one from someones head. I am very disgusted by this and have a lot left still. Just thought that it would be right to share this

Read More...I was skeptical this would work, and paying $63 for a bucket of powder felt odd, however, Vitamin-C tablets worked so it was worth a shot. I was also afraid that this powder would instantly dissolve in the water and have no real effect, so I thought about putting the powder in nylons or socks. Not needed. I was wrong; the risk was worth it. I decided to try this between storms (thus all the leaves in the pool) when I had to shut off my pump to vacuum. I have a 30,000 gallon in-ground pool with a vinyl liner, on a well. Slowly, iron/rust was staining the liner. I used a clean laundry detergent cup and walked around the pool, sprinkling the powder against the pool wall, and then out into the middle. The powder dissipated (not dissolved) slowly, and instantly neutralized the iron stains. My liner was back to white. I posted a video that does not do justice to this science experiment. Unfortunately, I did not have enough powder to finish the pool (the bucket was smaller than I anticipated from the photo) but I can hit those areas with tablets again. I cannot comment on taste; I used this strictly for fixing my iron stains. The bucket was easy to open by ripping the pull strip around the lid. The lid then came easily off. The powder did not irritate my skin. Overall, I was very impressed with this product. I paid $62.99 on 20200629, which was the best price I could find for the quantity
Read More...I like the fact that it comes in a huge plastic container that's durable and protective. The only inconvenience is that its lid is too hard to open
Read More...This is a wonderful quality Vitamin C product and a great value
Read More...I've been buying powdered vitamin C for some years now, including in bulk, and I have NEVER seen vitamin C that's only good for six months shelflife. That's completely ridiculous. I must've ordered from a “bad batch” that the company might have been trying to get rid of. Imagine if I had have bought an even larger size. I've unfortunately had to share my vitamin C with family and friends in order to hurry and get rid of it before the six months is up. With vitamins potency makes a difference! I've experimented myself with expired vitamins in the past and it truly does make a difference. So disappointed
Read More...I had heard ascorbic acid was incredible for the purpose of removing pool stains. I was looking for a safer alternative to muriatic acid. I used all 8 pounds with scarcely any results at all! Incidentally, the stains were metal precipitate (varying shades of grey). I opted for Acid Magic, a safer, buffered muriatic acid. The Acid Magic was low in fumes and infinitely more effective than the ascorbic acid stain removal method. This may be a great vitamin c product, though I had purchased to use as a cleaner
