Vitamin C for Lyme – TROPICAL FLAVOR IS TERRIBLE
I've been suggested to start taking high doses of Vit. C to help battle my Lyme Disease. I bought this to help ease me into taking higher doses (although this is already a pretty high dose). First off, the powder DOES smell like Flintstones vitamins, believe it or not. BUT don't inhale it! I inhaled a small bubble of powder and it went into the back of my sinuses and started popping! Felt like my sinuses got a burst of energy. I mean, I guess my sinuses could use it, but it's still not preferred. At least it didn't last too long before I was feeling normal again. The drink itself doesn't taste like vitamins, nor does it taste good. But I've read that Vitamin C powder itself is just rather salty, so I guess they did what they could with the flavor. At least it's drinkable. I can tell this stuff works, because the first two days I took it, I felt pretty sick. I always end up feeling sick whenever I try something new that attacks my Lyme, it's a sign that the Lyme is trying to put up a fight. It gave me a boost of energy, but also made me quite woozy. Don't worry, though, I don't think most people will experience this. By the third day, I already don't feel any different when I'm drinking this, so it might be a sign that I do need a higher dose soon. I love how cheap this option is, so that even someone with a tight budget can afford to look after their health. The packaging makes it super convenient, and the tear-open pouch is easy enough that I think I would be able to open it even if I had the flu, or when the Arthritis in my hands is at its worst. This is a great product, and we could all probably use this in our daily diet. UPDATE: I've tried most flavors. It's all kind of hard to down, but Tropical especially is absolute garbage. I bought another flavor with it, possibly the Lemonade? I forget. But they both taste almost exactly the same, and I can't force myself to drink them anymore. Didn't even use half the box, gonna have to give them away. They should mark these as Grapefruit flavor if anything, at least that would have kept me from buying it, unlike the expectations for a Tropical flavor
