Parents please Read the Ingredients carefully!

I hate writing negative reviews but I felt I should warn parents. Unfortunately I gave this to my baby for one entire month before realizing one of its ingredients is polysorbate 80. I'm a first time mom so I didn't know any better but please always read the ingredients in any product going into your babies mouth. My dumb pediatrician recommended this to me. Please do your own research on Polysorbate 80 and then you can determine if you want to use this product or not. -One thing I was shocked to find out was, (Polysorbate 80 is used as an emulsifier by the pharmaceutical industry to enhance the delivery of chemicals/drugs from the blood into the brain across the blood brain barrier (BBB). Being that the BBB is impermeable to many things in the bloodstream, researchers needed to find a way to deliver chemicals/drugs into the brain from the bloodstream in order to treat hard-to-reach brain infections/lesions/tumors, etc. Polysorbate 80 is one such chemical that helps in this delivery.”) There is a reason we have a BBB, to prevent toxins entering the blood in our brain. So idk how comfortable I feel using a product designed to allow toxins pass into the brain. Anyways if you are a breastfeeding mom you do need to give your baby vitamin D so search for a product without this ingredient. I found another vitamin on amazon which only requires one drop that you can put directly onto your nipple before breastfeeding and it contains all natural ingredients

TOXIC CHEMICAL IN INGREDIENTS

TOXIC!!!! Parents please read!!!!!!!! this infant vitamin contains SODIUM HYDROXIDE (LYE) Sodium hydroxide is used to produce soaps, rayon, paper, products that explode, dyes, and petroleum products. It can also be used in tasks such as processing cotton fabric, metal cleaning and processing, oxide coating, electroplating, and electrolytic extraction. It is often found in commercial drain and oven cleaners. Ordered this for my 4 month old and couldn't believe my eyes. How is this legal? These companies don't care for our children's health and well being. The Product ingredients are extremely toxic. The only reason I gave it a star, was because it won't let me post it. When consumed it cause respiratory problems as well as intestinal problems. Google it. Imagine what is will do to a baby?? Be safe ðŸ™

Don't get on clothes

My baby seems to like it well enough. I went with this one so that I had some wiggle room on dosing mistakes. I'm pretty uncoordinated and I don't trust myself with the brands that require only one drop. I need more diluted drops. I was originally going to give it 3 stars because of how hard it is to get my baby to swallow the whole ml and how easily it stains clothes. But I spilled it on a wooden table and holy cow it makes some of the best wood polish I've ever seen. I'll give it an extra star for that

DO NOT BUY THIS! DANGER!

DO NOT BUY THIS! DANGER! Being a breastfeeding mother, I pump and feed my son from the bottle. My pediatrician gave me these drops and told me to add it once a day to the bottle. Following the directions and recommended dosage, I did just that. My son is one month old. I noticed SEVERE CONSTIPATION (went to bathroom 1 time every 4-5 days) and rash pimple-like things forming on the side of his face and never thought twice about what might be causing this UNTIL I went to buy another bottle of it on Amazon and read the bad reviews first. He was restless and fussy all the time as well. There was another review on here from someone named "Cedar" about this product whose baby had the same exact symptoms that mine did. I would have never known until I saw the picture they posted of their baby that caught my attention. Well I'm posting a picture of mine so buyers may be aware of what is going on. This picture was taken 3 days after I stopped administering the drops. It looks bad but it's actually starting to heal. He's using the bathroom regularly too. For your child's safety do not buy this product. I feel it needs to be recalled. These are severe reactions that could really harm your baby. You don't want to end up being THE ONE in however many, that something fatal happened to

Not a fan of how the bottle doses.

I really enjoyed getting to try this product. It is a great product especially when nursing a baby. I was thankful to get to sample it because it is a good brand that I trust. I however was not a fan of the bottle. And the six drops that you had to do. There has to be a better system. It took forever for the drops to come out and with a baby who is on the go you can't even see when they start so you can't really get an accurate dosing. Then when they do start going, they come out really fast. So this would be a good system for a baby who is bottle-fed only that needed the vitamin D. I breast-feed my baby and he barely ever gets a bottle. I did try putting it in a small amount of Pedialyte but he wouldn't take it

Needs a dropper syringe

Enfamil did not think of mom's who exclusively breastfeed. Doing 6 drops into an open mouth with this device is not going to be tolerated by a wiggly baby. Overall great product, I think it's doing what it should for my happy girl. But I have to use a tool to pull the dropper top off the bottle and use a dropper syringe from enfamil vitamin d drops from a previous purchase before we added probiotics to her regimen. Lots of people have mentioned this, you'd think they'd know better and have added this option for administration already

Run, do not walk, away from this product.

Please do not even consider giving your child this product. My son is breast fed and would take a bottle up until he was about 4 months old. We had been giving him a supplement since he was 2 weeks old. I found the vitamin D drops that are suspended in oil and one small bottle had 365 doses versus the paltry 50 in the Enfamil brand. The drops in oil worked great until he stopped taking a bottle. Then it became too hard to get the drop in his mouth and he doesn't take a pacifier either. A fellow mother told me to try this product made by enfamil. The first day we gave this to my son he turned into a different baby. He would pull his knees up and just grunt continuously. He would also grunt and moan in his sleep. His poop changed colors and started smelling awful. This happened for a couple days and nothing had changed in his diet or mine except for these stupid drops. I stopped giving them to him and the grunting and moaning stopped. I suspect the caramel color and all the other unnecessary garbage Mead Johnson is why this happened. Please look into the drops suspended in oil instead of this. I now freeze a little breastmilk in an ice cube tray and put one drop in each tray. Once frozen I put the cube in a mesh feeder so he can suck on it. He gets his vitamin D and a little relief from teething by doing this. Hope this helps at least one parent

Much preferred over 1mL syringe drops

Ordered these because my newborn would constantly choke on the 1mL drops. These are WAY easier to administer - 4.5 month old baby takes them just fine on a small spoon. Also found if you really shake the crap out of it to combine the contents the easier the drops come out. The probiotics have also seemingly helped with babies gas discomforts. Overall, recommended for ease of use if nothing else

Our pediatrician recommended we add Vitamin D drops to our regimen since we're solely breastfeeding our son. From the start, he's been taking these and never had an issue. He can even take his dose from the dropper instead of mixed in his milk and he's fine with it. He's a healthy baby with a standard digestive system though. I can't speak for how they are with preemies or babies with eating problems

Inconsistent liquids/ colors

I bought this for my breastfed baby based off of Dr.'s recommendation. We have bought this 3 times so far and each time the product has had different consistencies; it was once syrupy, but the last batch was watery. The taste is very bitter to me, but my baby got used to the flavor and actually likes it. I personally think there's just too much liquid needed for baby to have to take. She's 8 months old now, but I still have to squeeze the dropper into her mouth slowly and several times to finish one dose. Overall, I'm not super impressed, but it's alright for us. I definitely buy it mainly based off of recommendation and lack of better options to my knowledge
