Top Medical Research Studies

We conducted a thorough evaluation of how vitamin C, when combined with pleuran, impacts asthma control and respiratory issues in children suffering from perennial asthma. The study was meticulously designed as a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving 230 children aged 7 to 17 years. This means that neither the participants nor the researchers knew who was receiving the active treatment or the placebo, ensuring the findings were reliable.

The results were promising, especially for children under 12 years. They showed significant improvements in asthma control compared to those receiving only the placebo treatment. Meanwhile, older children (12 years and above) experienced fewer respiratory infections with the combination treatment. Overall, by the end of the 48 weeks, a majority of children on the pleuran and vitamin C treatment reported better asthma control compared to those on the placebo.

While the combination of pleuran and vitamin C was indeed beneficial for managing asthma, we must note that the study did not specifically isolate the effect of vitamin C alone on allergies or asthma. Thus, it is hard to draw definitive conclusions about vitamin C's effectiveness independently from pleuran. However, the approach suggested that using these supplements together could offer a helpful boost in managing asthma symptoms.

Favourite vitamin C. I take it regularly, and when I feel a cold coming on, I increase the dosage to 2-4 tablets. It's convenient, and I can break the pills if necessary. It doesn't upset my stomach or cause nausea, and I have experienced no allergies. Notably, my gums have stopped bleeding when brushing my teeth.

Excellent digestible form. Even when taking more than the recommended amount, my body eliminates any excess without causing allergies or poisoning. I have been using it for years, often at the first signs of malaise, and have found it helpful in preventing illness.

I bought this for my husband, but unfortunately it did not fit and caused allergies. He gave it to a colleague, and he seems to be fine with it, so it's very individual.

Not suitable for husband
This formula is good, but caution is needed if you have a tendency towards allergies: my husband's face turns red after taking it, even though he is not allergic. It might be too strong for some people.

No allergies experienced
A good form of vitamin C in a convenient dosage. It hasn’t caused any allergies, which is a significant benefit. I take it along with iron and zinc, and when the weather gets hot and colds loom, I increase my intake to 3-5 tablets daily. However, the pills are quite large, causing issues for my 10-year-old daughter, so I must find another brand for her.
