Save your throat get 500mg
I get the 500mg because they are much easier to swallow than the 1000mg. I don't mind taking two each time to get 1000mg, it's worth it to not choke on those horse pills. They do have edges ya know

I like the time release and feel different when taking it. 500 MG - Usually I just take ONE as I get quite a bit of C, but if I feel anything coming on, I can up to 2. The 1,000 mg was overkill for me. VALUE - GREAT PRICE for what you get! NO PROBLEM SWALLOWING THESE, but for those who do, just split

Love this product and will highly recommende

Given the pandemic and working as a nurse, I wanted to strengthen my immune system as I go in and help my patients everyday. I take these every morning with orange juice, iron and elderberry drops and I believe it works great for me! Will purchase again
Read More...For years I was unable to take Vitamin C because all the brands I tried played havoc on my stomach. Not any more. Ester C, which I've been taking now for two years, is wonderful. I do take it with food (as I did the others), and I take it in two doses (500 mg. at breakfast, and 500 mg. at dinner) for a 1000 mg. total dose a day. I know the Ester C also comes in 1000 mg., but I think it's prudent to do it this way, if you have a sensitive stomach. The pill is not tiny, but it is no where as large as most calcium supplements, for example. I have no trouble swallowing it. The cost may be slightly higher than that of other brands, but not overly so, and it is well worth it. It seems to have kept bugs at bay! (I don't notice any flavor.
Read More...I have two favorite types of vitamin C's and this is one of them. I've been using Ester C for a while now and it's one of the best vitamin C supplements out there! First off, this is the only C that I can take without food and feel no acidity or reflux. Definitely gentle for my stomach! [Edited: I also integrate my other fave - liposomal vitamin C into my supplementing as well and alternate between these two types of C, both of which I personally find to be easy on an empty stomach and benefit me the best.] Because of the low dosage I can take multiple times throughout the day. I used to take at least 1000mg at a time but now prefer to take them in smaller doses as I have heard that the bigger tablets don't get fully processed and a good chunk just gets pooped out (not sure if this is still true though.) I may end up switching back to the 1000mg pills and just split them in half. I have Ester C on sub and I know these are effective for me because I'm hardly ever sick these days even when around cold/flu sickened people. My most recent cold which I thought would be a long nasty bout didn't last nearly as long as in the past and the symptoms were extremely tolerable! Besides the running nose, sneezing and feeling cold, I had confusingly unusual energy and using this plus an elderberry syrup was like a magical elixir to kick my illness. ðŸ'ªðŸ'ª One of my dogs has been under the weather for a while and I broke this up and have been dosing him with Ester C with awesome results. He's back to scampering, is energetic and being a full grown puppy! ðŸ˜
Read More...I have been using Ester-C for years. The 24-hr support is very convenient, since regular vitamin C only lasts about 4 hours. I tried the 1,000mg tabs, but they are too large for me to swallow, although they are more cost effective. Also, Ester-C claims their tablets to last "up to" 24 hours, sort of nebulous. In addition to the 500mg tabs being smaller and easier to swallow, I can take one in the morning and one at night and be more assured of 24 hour coverage. I do wish they would work on making them more slick. If it doesn't go down right away, your saliva starts breaking down the coating, and it does get hard to swallow. It doesn't have any outward flavor, and takes yucky if the coating dissolves any
Read More...I prefer this type of Vit C as it does not bother my stomach as much as the cheaper kind. I take one a day as maintenance, but when coming down with a bug I take 2-3 a day. I do not get sick as often or as bad when taking this product
Read More...I purchased these when I saw them on sale. I've been wanting to try this brand because I've read alot of good reviews about Ester-C. There are 2 quantities listed- I purchased the 1 bottle of 90 count. It arrived boxed and safety sealed with expiration of 1 year out which is great. These are large pills, as vitamin C often are. I haven't had any trouble swallowing them and they did not upset my stomach, even when taking in the morning on an empty stomach. It's great they are Non-GMO. One thing to note is that these are only 500 mg per dose. So, if you take a higher daily dose, it may just be easier to buy a higher strength 1000 mg pill rather than having to take 2 of these. One recommendation is to compare the cost per vitamin. There is an option for 2 bottles of 60 each (120 total) or a 90 count. I paid just under $7 on sale for the 90 count, and looking at the listing today, they are priced on sale even lower. Currently, it is cheaper per pill to buy the 90 count with each costing about $0.07 per pill, versus the 2 pack being $0.08 a pill. Not a huge saving, but everything adds up. Prices fluctuate, but if this is something you use daily be sure to compare cost per pill because the larger quantities aren't always the cheapest. ;) I hope you found this review helpful. Happy Shopping
