Best quinine water EVER

This is absolutely the best tonic water I have drunk in my entire life. I used to be a great G&T fan in my younger days, but I switched over to gimlets, because something happened to tonic water over the years: It ceased to contain actual quinine. This tonic water has quinine, and that truly makes a difference in the taste. Somehow "commercial" tonics just can't replace the taste of quinine with their chemicals. I haven't used it with gin since I found this product (my bottle of Tanqueray ran out sometime ago, and since I still had vodka in the freezer, I used that instead), but the vodka tonics I made were wonderful--and I'm not a big vodka fan. What I was happy to discover is that it tastes good on its own, over ice and with a squeeze of lime. I will be buying this again. Since I'm not worried about getting malaria in the US Northwest and won't have to swill this down daily, I will approach this with some caution, since there are adverse health effects possible with quinine. But I won't be drinking this stuff like water or even tea, and will be enjoying it with friends when they visit and occasionally on my own

Caution Tonic cocktail drinkers! Once you go here, you wont go back!

If you like Vodka, Gin or rum tonics, then you have NOT had a good one if you buy store bought tonic. I found this at a distillery in the Berkshires. Bought a 4 pack to go with their Gin. HOLY COW. Just be careful as you will have a new standard and all other tonic drinks will pale in comparison. Not very sweet like other tonics. Fever Tree is what tonic was originally in the 1800s in India. I buy the light version. The non light India version is just as good. Go for it. Just be careful as once you go here to lovely tonic land, you can't go back! This is the bigger bottle and handles 3-4 medium sized tonic cocktails. The smaller bottles in a 4 pack does one big cocktail or two small/medium ones. Great for preventing leg cramps too

Best Easily-Available Premium Tonic Water

My wife and I just performed a taste test of three different tonic waters. We used Bombay Gin in all three to keep the variables to one--the tonic water. We used Schweppes Tonic Water, Q Tonic Water, and Fever-Tree Tonic Water. We thought the Fever-Tree was the best, with Q Tonic second, and Schweppes Tonic a distant third. The Schweppes had a cloying off-taste compared to the other two which we attributed to the high fructose corn syrup which sweetens it. Before we purchased the two premium tonic waters, we thought Schweppes was the best compared to Canada Dry and Seagram's. But the two premium tonic waters were both better. The Q Tonic (sweetened with agave nectar) was less sweet (and lower in calories) than the Fever-Tree (sweetened with cane sugar) and had a distinctly different taste, more subdued compared to Fever-Tree. Both had clean and crisp finishes that were very refreshing. We both thought Fever-Tree had more flavor, especially more citrus and quinine flavors, and we preferred it. We will be happy to finish the rest of the case of Q Tonic we bought, but we are going to purchase only Fever-Tree in the future. We prefer gin and tonics with Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray Gins. We tried Fever-Tree with Hendrick's Gin and it was good, better than Hendrick's in martinis, with which we prefer Bombay Sapphire. [Update, 2016 March 24: We now love Hendrick's martinis as much as Bombay Sapphire martinis since we started using sliced cucumbers as the garnish rather than olives!

Makes the Best GD G&T Ever

Today on the North Fork of Long Island, it is 106 degrees, heat index. Wicked hot. People complain about walking from the parking lot to the front door of their office buildings. Even the birds are panting. The early afternoon cloud-burst thundershower--totally unanticipated by the National Weather Service--only made "the heat more wet" (to quote, slightly, the incomparable Miss Thelma Ritter in "Rear Window".) Several days ago...I ordered the Fever-Tree Indian Tonic on Amazon. I love Amazon. I make a few mouse clicks, and they send me stuff. And it's always packed perfectly. And in anticipation of today's arrival of Fever-Tree Indian Tonic, I bought the Tanqueray yesterday. Already had the limes. Got home from a crazy shift selling wine to the local natives...listening all day to the afore-referenced blistering heat that gave people a new excuse to double up on their own Tanqueray...and... Mixed myself a Tanqueray and Fever-Tree. Lots of ice. Double lime. A big sip...coldness, juniper warmth, fizziness, citrus, a touch of quinine bitterness....G&T Bliss. Truly a delicious tonic. Crisp, perfectly effervescent--and no aftertaste. Gonna get me s'more when my case runs out

Made such a great Gin and Tonic I had to take a photograph.

My first introduction to the Fever-Tree elderflower Tonic Water was at the Turin Hotel Bar in Amsterdam on a cold December evening. I experienced a fantastic gin and tonic there that had such a refreshing taste I had to inquire about the contents. There were berries, other flora, a local Amsterdam Gin and Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic Water. The drink was wonderful and when I arrived back home I attempted to recreate it using Hendricks Gin and everything but the Elderflower Tonic Water. It did not meet expectations. I searched the local stores for the Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic only to find they carry everything but that flavor locally. I finally found it on Amazon and the result was a perfect replica of the Turin's Gin and Tonic. The Elderflower Tonic was the key. I've bought this several times. It's a bit pricey, but worth every dime

The Fever vs. The Q.

If you are reading this, I hope I don't have to convince you that you should upgrade from the mainstream brands of tonic water with all that 'great' corn syrup and chemicals to a much more premium tonic. Just do it - good tonic water is essential to a good drink and you want to compliment the flavor of your Gin or Vodka - not destroy it. Now the big question that comes up is QTonic or Fever-Tree - which is better? They are both fairly pricey - but both high quality so you get what you pay for. The main difference is that Q uses Agave nectar for sweetness and Fever uses pure cane sugar. There are some other subtle differences, but hat is the main one. So which one is better? Well - your taste buds may vary - but here is my take. The Fever-Tree tastes a bit sweeter to me, though seems to have a better balance of carbonation. The Q has less calories per serving is a bit more neutral in flavor. Both are really good. The Q tends to go better with Vodka while the Fever with Gin - again - just my experiences - your mileage may vary. I recommend getting a 4 pack of both and trying them with your favorite drink. I personally stock both for myself and my guests - I just like the flexibility

High quality and lovely elderflower taste

I love tonic water. But the quality has degraded markedly from the old, old days of Commander Schweppes and his powerful little bottles of quinine malaria prevention. Combined with a lime to ward off scurvy and a tot of gin to sooth the soul, it was heaven at cocktail time. Now the fizz is anemic and the tonic is imitation. The whole mess is jacked with deadly fructose goo. But straight out of Kipling's "Elephant's Child", comes the mighty Fever Tree. We are saved. They have several good and truly natural flavors. Fever-Tree Quinine

I like this product but find Amazon's weird price fluxuations difficult to tolerate. Some vendors charge nearly the same for one or two bottles as Amazon Prime charges for 24 small bottles . . . . if you can find that deal. Every order takes a few minutes of hunting for the right price. Amazon needs to control the pricing of their outside vendors !!!! It would seem reasonable that us buyers or customers would be favored

LOVE FT CITRUS, BUT BE AWARE OF VERY SHORT SHELF LIFE ON SOON-TO-EXPIRE TONIC WATER

I'm obsessed with Fever Tree Citrus tonic - it makes THE best vodka tonic, hands down! I've been unable to find it anywhere locally for some time and was told by my favorite liquor store that Fever Tree has discontinued it (though I fervently hope this is not true). Currently, Fever Tree is not answering the phone nor are they responding to email inquiries, so I cannot confirm this. But fearing this might be the case, I finally decided to pay the ridiculously exorbitant price of this item on Amazon - more than double what I buy it for locally - in order to be able to enjoy it a little while longer before it's gone forever. For the life of me I cannot imagine why they would discontinue it when it is consistently one of the two top varieties to disappear first from the shelves here. The order arrived today, intact, with no broken bottles. However, it was very disappointing to see that the expiration date of 24 bottles is only two months from now, especially since I had not planned to consume it that quickly (was rather hoping to be able to savor it for a while yet if it's to be gone soon). And particularly after having paid a king's ransom for it! I am not happy about this at allðŸ˜¡ The 5 stars is for the Citrus tonic variety, most definitely NOT for the rest of the issues described. If you are considering buying it here, just be aware you may not have very long before it expires. Here's hoping that Fever Tree will reconsider and that their Citrus tonic will return to the shelves in the near future

Great product but do not buy…DO NOT BUY…from Tapout Performance.

Great product but buy from Amazon fulfillment if available. Tapout Performance is overpriced and their packaging is terrible. Read other reviews on their seller page. Many people had the same issue. Broken bottles showing up. They proceeded to only offer a refund if I removed my review. The truth is not for sale
