Good Product, Very Questionable Packaging
Flonase works well for my allergies and I give it 5 stars for that reason, but I almost sent the product back because the clamshell packaging was broken (as illustrated in the accompanying photo). The manufacturer states not to use the product if the clamshell is broken or if the metal ring around the top of the bottle is not intact. I deduced that the clamshell was broken because the product was foolishly sent in a flimsy paper padded envelope and any pressure against the clamshell would crush it and breach its integrity. Which is what seems to have occurred. If I didn't live so far from a store to purchase the Flonase I would have sent it back on principle and out of extreme over-cautiousness but between my rural location and my current bad allergies I decided to "bite the bullet" and use the product. Regarding the manufacturer's warning regarding the breaking of the metal ring as a safety device, I can't see how this would prevent some psycho from using a hypodermic needle to inject poison into the bottle. If I should succumb to a tampered bottle of Flonase then let this review serve as my epitaph
