We examined the urinary microbiome of women with interstitial cystitis and found it less diverse and containing fewer Lactobacillus acidophilus compared to a control group.

This lack of Lactobacillus was linked to more severe symptoms and poor quality of life. While we noted some associations between higher inflammatory markers and the severity of symptoms, we didn’t see a clear causal relationship.

Essentially, we’re still unsure if the presence of Lactobacillus can effectively reduce pelvic pain in this context.

We conducted a randomized, placebo-controlled trial with 72 women to explore whether oral probiotics could enhance quality of life for those suffering from primary dysmenorrhea over three months.

While we observed improvements in mental health and a potential decrease in the need for pain relief medication, the probiotics did not significantly alter inflammatory markers in our study.

These findings suggest that probiotics may bring some benefits, but further studies with larger groups are necessary to fully understand their impact.

Great probiotic! I took this during pregnancy while managing hepatitis B, and it really helped. My baby had severe intestinal pain at birth, but taking probiotics eased my colic and improved my digestion significantly. After three months of use, I continued to feel better, and notably, my child experienced no colic, which felt miraculous. I also found relief for my gallbladder discomfort with these probiotics. The composition is top-notch, and my gynecologist supported my choice.

Severe pain experience
Initially, I had issues with these prebiotics, but I had to resume taking them due to my child's chair troubles. Unfortunately, I experienced intense pelvic pain after taking just one capsule, causing significant discomfort for days.

I regularly take probiotics and find this one excellent due to its high number of strains. It has significantly improved my abdominal pain and reduced gas after use, making my life more comfortable. Although it does not cure colitis, I trust this brand and buy it whenever I can afford it. I find it effective when taken before bed.

I love this probiotic! I take it once daily during pregnancy, and it greatly aids my digestion and alleviates constipation. It has noticeably improved my colon pain, and the lack of taste makes it easy to consume.

I took this during both pregnancies. There was no abdominal pain or bloating. I believe it has prevented allergies and rashes in my children, making it worth the cost.
