Buying supplements online can be chancy. I purchased Resveratrol powder online from other brands only to get a relatively non-descript pack of powder of questionable origin. I've been pleased with Garden of Life's certified-organic MCT oil product and its endorsement by Dr. David Perlmutter so was pleased to see Garden of Life offering these certified organic Raw Resveratrol capsules made from USA-grown organic food material. The package I received was consistent with the online ad, had real information on this USA-based company, product and its origin. The brown glass bottle was date-stamped (for lot number and shelf life of over a year). The label states each capsule contains 578mg of raw resveratrol (350mg being active trans-Resveratrol), 25mg raw organic antioxidant blend of plants and 16mg probiotic and enzyme blend in a cellulose capsule with organic rice filler. Pharmaceutical-grade Trans-Resveratrol is typically a white powder that turns yellow, then brown as it degrades with age or exposure to heat and moisture. With that in mind, I was surprised to see the material inside these Raw Resveratrol capsules being an earthy-brown powder with chopped fibers having a pungent organic smell. The earthy-brown color and pungent smell are consistent with this being a product of raw, organic plant material - much like something you would pull from your garden and grind-up yourself. I have taken this product for a month (typically two capsules in the morning with oils or yogurt). There has been no significant effect I can directly attribute to taking this product but have had good energy, mental clarity and resistance to the Cold weather with no adverse affects. I plan to keep taking this product and purchase another bottle soon
