First things first:
- I've been taking Wobenzym for 3 1/4 weeks so far.
- No stomach cramps or pain, no nausea. I have a sensitive stomach, so I was surprised that it didn't give at least a little discomfort, but nothing so far.
- I felt immediate results upon waking on Day 2.
- I felt no results after Day 2 until about Day 10.
- This week (Week 3) I've felt the most results.
- The pain in my knees, fingers, hip, and shoulders has lessened noticeably. I feel better every day.
- I worked up to the max dose, which I began taking around Day 10.
- I've missed a dose or two everyday this week (but am taking at least 2 doses per day, morning and night), but I'm still feeling positive results.
- I plan to update my review after 3 months or if I begin to experience the stomach pain that others have talked about.
- I suggest giving it at least a month at the max dose to know for sure if it works for you or not. (Unless, of course, you have a bad reaction or intolerable side effects.)
Now, a story . . .
I have horrendous menstrual cramps. Like clockwork on Cycle Day 1 and Cycle Day 4, I experience cramps that radiate throughout my back and down into my thighs.
When I woke up at 4AM on CD1 with horrible cramps, about 9 days after starting Wobenzym, I decided I'd try Wobenzym instead of the NSAID I usually take. The NSAID normally takes about two hours to fully work, so I thought I'd give Wobenzym the same amount of time.
About 2.5 hours later I realized my cramps were gone. I felt great! I was working up to the max dose, so I took another dose of Wobenzym at mid-day and one before bed. No cramps! I also had relief from that 'disconnected joint' feeling I get during the first few days of my cycle. You know, where you feel kind of like there is too much space between your joints and your body is a little disconnected and wobbly?
By CD4, when I normally have my second round of intense cramping, I'd worked up to the max Wobenzym dosage. I had no cramps at all.
I'll update if next month is different, of course.
Edited to add: Second month on Wobenzym - no menstrual cramps. I still feel great and have no joint discomfort. I try to take 3-4 doses per day. As a busy work-at-home, homeschooling mom there are inevitably 2-3 days per week when I only get 2 doses in. Seems to work for me, regardless. I got the 800 count on Subscribe and Save because I plan to take these forever
