Disappointing… A Once Great Company Cheapens It's Product Under the Pretense of New Branding

I used to love this company and their commitment to quality and the customer. Both seem to have been lost recently under the "Fresh NEW Look" label, which is just a way to hide their significant downgrade of quality. Compare what the product was previously to what it is now with a few of the more unfortunately notable changes. 5 more calories for a change per serving from: - 4 grams of fiber to 1 gram - 150 mg of calcium to 78 mg - 7 mg of iron to 3 mg - 120 mcg of Chromium to 10.3 mg - 15 IU of Vitamin E to 0 IU - Organic Alkalizer Blend from 3 g to 1.1 g - Probiotic & Enzyme Blend from 100 mg to 30 mg Compare for yourself. They've tried to get rid of the older products - you won't find them anywhere unless you'd previously purchased them as I had. Hiding behind rebranding is shady and deceptive; it's no way to treat faithful customers. It's sad to find a good, reliable company you can trust only to lose trust when they sell out. Just passing it along, make your own decision. If anyone has any recommendations for better products like these used to be, please let me know

Great for weight loss.

I have a NutriBullet and started adding Garden of Life Perfect Food Raw Alkalizer and Detoxifier Organic Powder to my hormone regulating morning smoothies. Along with a pretty strict diet and the addition of Garden of Life Perfect Food Raw Organic Chocolate Powder in my "desert" smoothie, I have lost 30 lbs in 3 months. I look and feel great. Best of all I am so satisfied, not hungry at all. These products have changed my life

Garden of Life sold out to Nestle no longer trust the brand

I originally purchased Garden of Life due to their claims that their contents were grown on a family farm in Utah, Organically. I still see the claim on the label that now says all grasses grown on our family farm in Utah. If you look further at the smaller print it states ingredients are sourced world wide. Garden of Life is now owned by Nestle corporation. I do not trust Nestle so I will no longer use Garden of Life products. Unfortunately I missed the return window by 3 days, so I am stuck with a product that is not what it claims to be. Good Bye Garden of Life. too bad since I am allergic to avocado, bananas and kiwi, items included in many mixes like this. Garden of Life does not contain these things. Oh well the hunt is on again. Garden of Life sold us out for their own profit seems to be the norm now. Profits ver health and people

The Dirty Details

I'll try to make this short and informative. I purchased a juicer in order to get my wife's acidic body more alkaline, in ADDITION to using the raw organic apple cider vinegar (she drank 1 tbsp in morning and evening with water AND I had her doing the detox bath with it--2 cups of ACV per tub of water. Look up how to use it in a bath before doing it, however. We did this routine for about a MONTH, the ACV maybe 2 weeks, faithfully. During that time, I tested her acidity and alkalinity levels daily and I was not getting her alkalinity levels to the desired 7.0 in urine samples and so went back to researching for ways to do that faster than I was. (It was increasing a little but not enough for me) That's when I found this product. She took this TWICE and today, on the third morning, her PH was 7.0!!! (the recommended level) THANK GOD. I was beginning to search what would prevent a body from becoming alkaline, but now I don't have to. The juiced diet did help and gave her great energy, she felt overall much better. But this stuff here is like a punch to the system. She has even more energy too. I will continue testing her urine every morning and throughout the day for about a week to ensure I'm getting a proper reading. I will update this review as needed but I wanted to come and give this for those seeking a way to raise their alkalinity. THE ONLY PROBLEM with this product is the TASTE but for what you get??? JUST DOWN IT!!! But the show my wife puts on when she drinks it makes me cringe. We began trying to find ways to make it taste better, but as one reviewer put it, you just end up prolonging the evil with more ounces of it. So you end up with strong tasting s*** or flavored s***. If I find a concoction that removes the taste bud torture, I will post it, until then, take your medicine like a big girl or boy. Oddly enough, mixing it with water, prune juice, and a small amount of honey, nearly removed the taste altogether. So, if you like yummy prune juice lol, try that. ***** Update: I started giving my wife MSM and she went through a detox. The day after, I tested her urine and it was back down in the FIVES. I panicked and searched for side effects of a detox and sure enough, acid levels read high during them due to the fact they are leaving the system! Another THANK GOD here. I will continue updating

but this is on the sweet side and very easy to drink

Much tastier than I expected! I was expecting it to taste a bit bitter and feel chalkier, but this is on the sweet side and very easy to drink. I start each day out on it and noticed after 2 weeks that I felt a lot better, a lot cleaner, and with more consistent energy. My skin looked better, too

Love Garden of Life RAW Organic products, but looks like they've now added stevia to the formula. It's not listed in the current product page, but appears among ingredients on the bottle I just received. Sickeningly sweet!!! Too bad, this looks like an amazing product, which is why I'm giving three stars instead of one. @GOL -- please remove stevia and let customers sweeten their own drinks

So thankful I bought this.

Since taking I've stopped having stomach cramps, started using the bathroom regularly (which I've never been able to do without medicine in my entire life) IVE LOST 10 POUNDS! Which for some that's not much but for me I haven't been able to lose weight in a long time and its really bothered me so I'm quite happy about this. I have a lot more energy and no more brain fog It's also helped clear my skin and made my nails stronger, I'm hoping it will help my hair too ðŸ˜Š it's not even been a month so I'm very pleased. I have a lot of autoimmune diseases, arthritis, gut health and absorption issues so this has been such a helper instead of taking tons of extra meds

Tastes bad, but makes me feel good!

Love the way this makes me feel. It really helps my digestive system, but you have to get past the taste. The first few times, I had to hold my nose to keep from gagging, but now I can get it down pretty easily since I'm used to it. Overall, totally worth the price

Great product! Have been using for two years

I've been using the Garden of Life Raw Organic Alkalizer/Detoxifier along with the Energizer powder in my morning smoothies for a couple of years now and really think they do a good job. I used to get 'heartburn' and just generally have systemic acid issues that are completely gone. I use this as a primary nutrition foundation for my diet and feel like it makes a difference. I definitely notice if I don't use it for a few days. It's a green product - it doesn't taste great, but it's a lot better than others have tried. I blend it with water, a banana, and frozen berries and that works well for me

Too sweet and didn't feel well after consuming

Normally I'm a fan not only of Garden of Life products, but also of organic powdered greens, but the Garden of Life Perfect Food Raw Alkalizer and Detoxifier just didn't work for me. I picked up a single sample packet of a similar Garden of Life product, the 'Perfect Food Raw original' at my local Whole Foods, and I liked what I tasted. It was very "green" in flavor, not sweetened, and that sample prompted me to try their Perfect Food Raw Alkalizer and Detoxifier. Bad choice, I would avoid this product if you in any way have a sensitive stomach, or gastro issues like myself. First, it was hard to get past the overly sweet taste. I really dislike when manufacturers feel the need to sweeten powdered greens. I couldn't figure out what it was they added to this that would be sweet, that wasn't in the Perfect Food Raw original. Whether it's stevia or whatever, it tastes artificial. I proceeded to drink this every morning for three days, and each day, almost all day I felt nauseous, and my stomach was messed up. Not having changed anything else in my diet, I finally came to the conclusion that it was probably the Perfect Food Raw Alkalizer and Detoxifier. I took the the bottle to my acupuncturist/NMD and he said that the "detoxifying blend" portion of the mix was probably too much, esp. for someone with stomach sensitivities like mine. He went on to say that he felt that this drink had too much going on, and that it could be dangerous to anyone who is hyper or hypo, thyroid or any other condition. I would agree that it has too much going on, and I felt much better when I was drinking just wheat and barley juice powders, or better yet the fresh wheat or barley juice! I turn to the powdered greens when in a hurry, or traveling, but would not recommend this one. On the positive side, I will say that both the Perfect Food Raw original and Perfect Food Raw Alkalizer and Detoxifier were one of the better powdered greens in terms of consistency. Some of these drinks are SO thick and gritty. The Perfect Food Raw original is less gritty than the Alkalizer and Detoxifier, and doesn't get quite as foamy. If you were interested in trying one of the GOL drinks, I would consider starting with the Perfect Food Raw original, it was better in taste, consistency and I didn't experience any negative side effects
