Saccharomyces boulardii shows ulcer benefits
We explored how the probiotic yeast, Saccharomyces boulardii, impacts ulcerative colitis in mice. Through a careful setup, C57BL/6 mice received the treatment for three weeks and were later exposed to a harmful substance to induce the condition.

The results were promising; we observed that Saccharomyces boulardii significantly improved various symptoms. It helped prevent weight loss, diarrhea, and inflammation while strengthening the intestinal barrier. Furthermore, it demonstrated an ability to counteract oxidative damage effectively.

However, we also noted that while these findings are positive, further research is needed to fully understand the comprehensive benefits of this treatment in humans.

We explored the potential of a new composite hydrogel that combines probiotics and fucoidan to aid oral ulcer healing. This study focused on how this hydrogel adheres to tissue and releases probiotics effectively. Remarkably, the hydrogels showed better therapeutic results compared to standard oral ulcer patches by promoting faster cell migration and healing.

Overall, this innovative approach suggests a promising future for treating oral ulcers more effectively than traditional methods.

Probiotic EGF improves ulcer healing
We explored the effects of delivering human epidermal growth factor (EGF) through a probiotic strain of E. coli to help treat intestinal ulcers. The study showed that treatment with EGF-EcN not only alleviated ulcers but also helped in restoring damaged barrier layers in the gut. We observed that this method promotes the recovery of important cell types and strengthens mucosal integrity. Importantly, the probiotic did not worsen any cancerous conditions related to ulcerative colitis. Overall, our findings suggest that using probiotics to deliver helpful proteins like EGF can be a safe and effective strategy for managing gastrointestinal ulcers.

Relieved heartburn

Amazing! I have intended to write this review for months! This product (Primal Defense Ultra) has provided remarkable results. For years, I suffered from severe heartburn and even developed an ulcer a couple of years ago. On Halloween, I took one capsule before indulging in candy, which typically spells trouble. However, I felt almost immediate relief. Whatever my gut was lacking, this product supplied it! I highly recommend it to everyone, as I haven't experienced heartburn since taking the first capsule!

Stomach issue relief

Since my wife and I began using this product, my stomach issues vanished, and we catch fewer colds. I had been treated for an ulcer in the past, always on the lookout for something to combat stomach acid after meals. The treatment involved a strong antibiotic that eliminated harmful bacteria. This probiotic replenishes beneficial gut bacteria. It works well and is key to maintaining a healthy immune system. When we stop taking it, we feel lethargic and our digestion worsens.

WJSS shows promise against ulcers
We constructed acute gastric ulcer models in mice by administering hydrochloric acid and ethanol, then introduced white jade snail secretion (WJSS) through gastric infusion. Our findings revealed that WJSS significantly reduced ulcer areas and levels of harmful substances like malondialdehyde.

The highest concentration of WJSS led to the most remarkable reduction in ulcers and improved intestinal bacteria diversity. This suggests that WJSS not only offers promising anti-ulcer effects but also promotes beneficial gut probiotics, pointing towards its potential use in ulcer treatment.

Probiotic reduces side effects
We looked into how the probiotic Saccharomyces boulardii affects the treatment of Helicobacter pylori in Thai patients. In a double-blind study, participants received either a probiotic or placebo with a moxifloxacin-dexlansoprazole therapy.

While the treatment achieved high eradication rates of H. pylori, we found that the addition of the probiotic significantly reduced side effects like nausea and diarrhea compared to those on placebo. This suggests that Saccharomyces boulardii could enhance patient comfort during an effective antibiotic regimen.

We recently explored the protective effects of a specific probiotic called Bifidobacterium breve (Bif195) on small-intestinal damage caused by acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), a common pain reliever. In a randomized, double-blind trial involving 75 healthy volunteers, participants took daily doses of either Bif195 or a placebo for eight weeks.

The results were promising! Those who took Bif195 experienced significantly lower levels of intestinal damage and fewer ulcers compared to the placebo group. Importantly, the use of Bif195 was well tolerated with minimal adverse events reported.
