Stale, found a hair in one batch – EW!

I LOVE THESE MACROBARS, let me say this first! I only eat the Banana and almond butter. They are usually so good. However in the box before the last one ( I am on autoship), it was so stale and hard, I could hardly bite into it and had to cut into pieces. It also had a 6 inch hair throughout it. I could not eat it. Would not have killed me - just the idea. The last box was not quite as stale. When I first started getting these, they were fresh and good. I got hooked on them, but tried to use a a meal replacement only. It was hard to do because they taste so good! I like to give positive review and not negative, but I feel that I am behind on rating all the items I buy from Amazon because I buy so much and I read the customer reviews and that is what I base my opinion on. The price for these gomacro Macrobars is ridiculously too high. I thought by getting on auto-ship it would be cheaper, but it is not much. They should have a special deal for one that buy a lot and eat more that a box a month, be able to buy a case at a much lower cost. This is just my opinion. I hate complaining, but will need to stop ordering any and get off of auto-ship if I keep getting stale food. Also, seems like they take forever to get here, before I was on auto-ship. I understand that this is a small company and my hat goes off to you. I like Non GMO, prefer ORGANIC, and there are not added preservatives. Could cut down on the sugar some. Bananas have quite a bit of sugar in them. If the price was lower, they were fresh and I hope I never find a hair again, they would have received a 5 rating from me. PLEASE do something to get this ridiculous price down and even more will be bought! I understand you are a small business and commend you on the effort you put into this great tasting bar. Would love to taste obbne jut made. Am really hoohed on the Banana! I am changing my star review to a 4. Thank you

I have ordered two boxes of this product. They taste good, they are organic and that is very important to me. But they have pieces of What appears to be shells from peanuts in them. A couple of times it really hurt my tooth and makes me a little afraid to eat theseðŸ™ It does say that on the package that it may contain pit or nut shells. But having two boxes of these bars there's quite a bit in each bar. It is a little excessive in my opinion. Just a word of caution while eating these

Carby but AMAZING

I've tried just about every protein bar on the shelves. They are either too sweet, too salty, too bland. This one is amazing. I love these. When I am craving sweets, I just eat one of these. They have a softer texture, which I really like. The chocolate chips are tasty too, I can't believe this is vegan. The amazon price beats grocery stores. I've tried this one and the peanut butter plain one, which is slightly less sweet, and I've had the almond banana but that has bigger chunks of banana that I didn't care for. The only drawback on these is the carb count, but when I'm trying to watch carbs, I just eat a half of one and save it. Give these a shot. Theyre awesome!! Great for killing sugar cravings while staying clean

These were my favorite vegan protein bar. They tasted good and the addition of almond butter and coconut made the bars chewier and sweet, but not too sweet. I've purchased 11 boxes of these from Amazon and the last batch is much thinner. In order to keep the weight similar they just added more chocolate chips on the bottom of the bar. It's changed the entire taste of the bar. I'm disappointed. I would have been okay if they'd raised the price a bit more (they're already pricey) instead of reducing the actual amount of the bar. I won't be purchasing again

I use to eat these almost daily out on hikes and when needing a quick meal. The peanut butter kind. (Although I've tried almost all of them) I liked the flavor, the small business ownership, the simplicity. But I noticed I ate them too often, craved them. Like I was addicted. Because I was. Because of sugar. Not just coconut sugar, but brown rice syrup which is worse for you than the white stuff (table sugar or cane sugar). There is no reason whatsoever to use that ingredient, not even coconut sugar which isn't much better for you than regular sugar. Stop over sweetening everything. It's horrible for people's health and they claim it's a health food. 10-15g of sugar in every bar. We don't need to feed the sugar pandemic just because people crave it. We need to stop the cravings. Not find an almost as bad substitute. The bar itself is fine, even the ones that are stale you are just supposed to put them in your pocket and it warms it up. They get cold in shipping and storage. The ingredients need work. For it to be a truly healthy bar. Get coconut sugar and brown rice syrup out. If you HAVE to feed the addiction use dates. If you are fine with sugar, and don't care about it's effects on your health mentally or physically then this bar IS FOR YOU. Which is okay. No judging. If you are working your way down from a high sugar diet, this will be a light snack for you and not a big deal. If you've been eating healthier for years and cutting back on foods negatively impacting your health this bar is NOT for you

Tastes good, but expensive for equivalent nutrients. Not a wise purchase

These taste good, but have that weird sticky film covering them that some bars do and are a bit more dense and chewy than other bars I've had. They aren't horrible in either regard and they do work well at keeping me somewhat full through the morning on rushed days where I wasn't able to prep a full breakfast.. and they work extremely well at holding you over as snacks! The taste is mild but pleasant--probably their best attribute. That said, they are way too expensive for what they are. Competing bars, even Cliff Bars, have the same base nutritional stats/calories/ingredients but also come with an array of other expendable vitamins and minerals for less than HALF the price. I knew this before ordering, but I did so assuming there was something special about the texture or taste that would have made these more appealing than the bars in my normal routine (variety is always welcome). I honestly feel like I'm paying for their graphic designs and unique packaging. I would order these again, but the orders will be few and far between until the price comes down

The only protein bar I like

I have a subscription for these bars because they are perfect for me - not too high in sugar, but taste good whatever mood I'm in. Other perks: filling, not messy so you can eat them in the car, high in protein, made in WI (somewhat local for me), organic... Anyway, it's important for my lifestyle to have a high-protein snack handy that doesn't give me a sugar crash and that I never get sick of. Seriously, I could eat one of these every day and quite possibly never tire of them. One time I received one and the seal was not quite lined up so the bar was exposed to air and got stale. The company immediately replaced my order. Please do not leave bad reviews until you have contacted the company and given them a chance to correct it! They are trying to make an awesome product and there are bound to be production issues in the process

Sharing my experience

I usually don't write reviews but after seeing a bunch of other people experiencing issues regarding mold or old expirations, I felt the need to share my experience. I have been ordering these gomacro blueberry bars for months with zero issues. Just received a new order today and these bars have a 10/24/2021 expiration date and are in great condition. My only complaint is the constant change in price, just recently these were $16 for a pack of 12 and now they are literally double the price ($32) for the same order. Unfortunately my family loves these bars too much to pass up so we continue to get these even at 2x the price. Overall experience is very positive regardless

Dense and smooth; reminds me of the original PowerBars in terms of texture. Taste is easy, nothing stands out. Just sweet and makes a good snack or as part of a meal. I dont eat much during day, so I keep a handful of snack bars on me in case I do get hungry or hangry. Really loving the GoMacro bars for this. Sometimes I pair with a small nutritious smoothie or some vitamins. I only recently discovered GoMacro bars. Not sure if I originally tried them through Vine, or if I ordered some on sale. I just remember that after trying the cherry variety for first time, I nearly immediately bought another box of same flavor, then more recently began branching out to other flavors. Sunflower butter and chocolate sounded interesting. Im not normally a fan of chocolate in protein bars, but since I liked everything by GoMacro so far, I figured I'd give it a go. If you ever had Powerbars back in the 90s/2000s, then this may remind you of those. The dense texture is very reminiscent. My cherry bars arent like this. In fact those remind me of the Lara bars of similar flavor, but in a base of oats. Anway, I like the cherry the most, but I like these a lot too. I am about to buy another flavor as GoMacro is one of the first health bars that I am totally enjoying

These taste soo good!

The reason I am giving these gomacro bars a 5 star rating is because: 1. They taste freaken great! 2. They have sooo many different flavors and are not too sweet. I have yet to get tired of eating them. 3. They come in this eco friendly tray. I plan to give these to my friend that loves gardening. 4. They overall give me a good boost in the morning when I don't have time to have a 'proper' breakfast and 5. You just can't be mad at the fact that you are supporting a small business that gives back and is sustainably sourced. I know these are a bit on the pricey side but they are sooo good! I have tried 2 flavors (coconut-almond-chocolate chip & dark chocolate-almond) and so far I am totally in love with the dark chocolate almond and I am not even a fan of chocolate. I will continue to keep these as part of my breakfast routine. I highly recommend that if you have the coin to give these a try. As a busy single mommy with two little monkeys, who does not always have time to sit down and eat, this is a game changer
