This was the first Naproxen Sodium I ever tried, so I really didn't know what to expect. I've been using this stuff for almost a year and during that time I was never impressed with it's effectiveness. During the year that I was using Naproxen Sodium I found it was not as effective as Ibuprofen for headaches, which didn't surprise me, but I was surprised when I found that it was only minimally effective for muscle and joint pain. Still, because it was in the meds drawer, and because I didn;t know any better, I kept using it. BTW, I'm 77 years old, suffer from osteoarthritis, and over the past year the joint pain has become much worse.
I've been looking for a solution to this joint pain, because it is slowly immobilizing me, and preventing me from getting the exercise I crave and need to stay healthy. After a long process of trying products said to relieve the pain of osteoarthritis I finally decided to try the original manufacturer of Naproxen Sodium. I didn't really expect much, but because I was desperately looking for a solution, I picked a 24 caplet bottle of the name brand. I took 1 caplet and it relieved, not some of the pain, but all of the pain, and for a full 12 hours. I have always been a believer in buying the equivalent products simply because it makes economic sense. This experience has totally changed my perspective, and in the future, I will give the original product a try before moving on to a equivalent product
