AWESOME Soap.

I absolutely LOVE this soap, but with the steady price increases I'm going to have to let it go. As with most Americans, my income is not increasing to match inflation. Back to the soap - It is better than any thing else on the market. I understand that's my opinion, but I even use it in my hair and it's left softer than my shampoo/conditioner. It says pine 'tar' soap, but I think it smells more like a bonfire. A nice, manly smell. Reminds me of great friends and fellowship around a bonfire, hoodies, hot chocolate, roasted marshmallows. The sent doesn't really stay on your skin, so you don't have to worry about going out smelling like you've been working in the yard. I'm by no means a pro at leaving a review, but I hope this helps

Life Changing Soap. I now only own flannel shirts.

Imagine you are walking through the woods and you are surrounded by pines, tall and majestic. You decide to warm yourself with a fire. The odor that surrounds you is packaged into this bar of soap! With that little fantasy in mind, imagine you are unwrapping your first box of Grandpa Soap Pine Tar and taking your first whiff. The experience is beard growing. The soap has a very strong scent and it will instantly increase your masculinity. If you are imagining something like pine scent, this isn't it. It will likely remind you more of a Clint Eastwood western. My wife is weakened in the knees when I step out of the shower smelling of trees and campfire. The soap itself is quality unsurpassed, and the scent doesn't linger on you when you rinse off. I also find it's effective for dry or irritated skin, and any other skin. I believe it helps with acne and really does amazing job of removing oils and dirt from your body. Grandpa's soap may cause some side effects like a strong desire to buy flannel or chop down a tree.. Other than that, well,it's soap. Pretty good soap at that

Love it !!

My order was just as it said it was. I started using this soap when I was a little boy staying with my grandparents up north, my grandfather used nothing but Pine Tar Soap! I started using it again about 4 years ago and it brings back memories of my grandpa. Pine Tar works really good for people with Dry Skin and Psoriasis as well. My wife has now been using my Pine Tar Soap for almost a year and it helps her Dry Skin. I got Psoriasis and it helps keep it under control and less break outs ! My 4 and 5 year old kids like it too, mostly of color and because it daddy's soap, I let them think their sneaking my soap when they take their baths LoL

Best ever!

My daughter had a horrible acne problem i have tried everything from proactive to taking her to the dr. for help and no one or any product would help, all it done was make her face bleed. i read some reviews about this soap and said why not lets try it. this soap has cleared her face up i could not tell you how we feel, and how she is not embarrassed to go out anymore this soap has a not so nice smell only when you are using it but it works great who cares about the smell when washing

Manliest Soap for the Manliest Folk

Gentlemen, maybe ladies too, let me ask you some questions. Are you tired of smelling like baby powder? Are you tired of smelling like some strange tropical flower collection crossed with too much Aqua Velva? Are you tired of soap that makes you body weird after you use it? Seriously, have you ever gone outside when it is hot out, and gotten itchy all over for a few minutes as your sweat pores open up? Are you tired of rubbing something on your body that is more fit as a deer and rabbit repellent around your garden than it is as a body soap? Are you tired of smelling like all the other women and children out there? Do you want a soap that is as manly as the beard on your face? Do you want your bathroom to smell amazing? I just discovered the manliest soap on Earth. It smells like I just finished tanning the hide of a grizzly bear that I had to choke out during salmon spawning season, and then smoked the salmon I stole from it, all while making love to a fiery Cherokee woman

Love it Or Hate It

To me this soap smells to very close to freshly laid asphalt. When the bar is newish, It also makes your bathroom smell like that. If that smell would bother you then you wouldn't want this soap. My wife and I like the smell of this. The soap is a very nice quality soap that does a great job of removing body oils. There is nothing I hate more than getting out of a shower and my armpits still smell rank. Unlike commercial soaps, this has not been a problem with this soap. I always feel very clean and refreshed after showering with this. Also, it does not leave a smell on you. So no, you will not smell like freshly laid asphalt after showing. Another thing I like about this soap is it does not become a mushy mess at the end of its life. My soap dish, is a soap rack so it doesn't hold water. However, even with that other soaps become a mushy mess at the end. This one just shrinks down and fades away

Best such product I've ever used in nearly 70 years.

Used this now for about a year, and love it. I rarely even use my special scalp formula shampoo - I just use this soap all over (including hair), and get excellent results. Any concerns I initially had about the admittedly STRONG smell in the package, has turned out to be a non-issue once actually used on my body. It rinses off, and my wife - normally very sensitive to smells - said she could hardly notice any smell at all from my body after drying off. What little she could detect was not at all unpleasant, she said, but she doubted anyone else would even notice it anyway. I've also used the liquid version of this product, but have not found it to be nearly as good on my scalp as the bar soap. I'm so pleased with this product, that I just ordered an additional 6-pack of the larger (4.25 oz) bars. It takes a superior product to get 5-star reviews from this reviewer, and this product certainly has earned its 5-star review over nearly a year of use/experience

HELPS PUPPPS RASH!

This soap is amazing! Momma to be suffering from PUPPPs...I use this soap 3 times a day in a cold shower paired with Aveeno Eczema lotion with oatmeal and it keeps the itch at bay!! Plus Benadryl and a cooling blanket at night! I was going insane before this soap but I finally have my sanity back!! It takes a couple of days to notice results but it does work! Hang in there Mommas

amazing soap for pupps

My wife had pregnancy rash 'pupps' and it was intolerable. She itched all day and night. We tried several treatments - itching creams, lotions, oat meal baths but nothing worked. Came across this soap and bought a couple just to try them out. 3 days into the process of taking 3-4 baths with this soap, itching was completely gone and 7 days no rashes were visible. This did wonders for her. We ordered a dozen more so that she could use it for the entire duration of pregnancy. This smells good too, so no need to apply anything on top of it
