Many doctors don't know the importance of iodine unfortunately. I've been using this iodine for 6 months and one concerned symptom that lasted over a year has completely disappeared soon after I started taking this. But I read reviews about the density issue and safety issue of this iodine sold in Amazon, so I contacted Lugol's about it, and here is their response: "Lugol's is made with distilled water. Color may vary depending on storage. We use a tamper evident one piece cap which reveals a ring that separates upon opening and falls to the shoulder of the bottle. All Amazon sellers are known to us. But in general they store in bins and not upright which is what we suggest. We guarantee our product for the life of the bottle." I told them that nothing fell upon opening my bottle, and sent them a photo of my bottle. They said that the ring is still on the cap, and it's possible the ring did not disengage, but usually it separates. * The Amazon sellers of this iodine seem to change quickly. Iodine (I only trust Lugol's so far) is effective for allergy, depression, fatigue, fertility problems, heart arrhythmia, ovarian problems, psoriasis, type 2 Diabetes, blood pressure, Fibromyalgia, and the list goes on. Most of us are deficient in iodine. I take this 3 drops in the morning as this can wake you up. I take Selenium supplement and use Himalayan salt (recommend Sherpa Pink Gourmet Himalayan Salt) that will help its effectiveness and also reduces side effects. I didn't have much side effect, except I got very sleepy. Some get headache, skin disorder, fatigue, and if you get those side effects, reduce the amount and if needed gradually increase the amount (1 drop for 1st week, 2 drops for 2nd week). What I understand is that overtaking iodine also causes health issues, but 1-5 drops would be fine, EXCEPT those who has KIDNEY issue. My mom who has kidney issue takes only 1 drop daily (can start from twice a week depending on the person's condition), and her high blood pressure became stable soon after taking this. * Please do this under your sole responsibility. Healing breast cysts?

I'm hesitant to make this review because I don't want to mislead anyone BUT then I thought, what if I help someone? So, after losing my thyroid to autoimmunity, becoming obese and being on the road to Diabetes and hbp no matter how much I exercised and tried to eat right, I gave up. I had already tried traditional keto and failed. I was so metabolically unhealthy that I still had cravings and couldn't lose weight. So, like a growing number of people who feel tossed aside by big medicine and big pharma and felt like they were circling the drain, I decided to try the carnivore diet which is admittedly an extreme version of the keto diet...but not at all restrictive to those of us who were sick and desperate for healing. So, in my hunger to learn as much as I could, I found Dr. Ken Berry on YouTube and he mentioned in a few of his live chats and videos about the benefits of Lugols. Particularly for women with thyroid problems and breast issues. I had always had pain in my breasts before periods and I even had to have a benign tumor removed and tested for cancer at 19. Mammogram nurses would say I had "busy" breasts due to all the cysts. I was always asked to come back for repeat mammograms and spending money. I got so tired of it, I just gave up and stopped returning. I was sick of being sick and sick of medical doctors recommending all this poking, prodding, mashing and never having a single treatment for anything I had...just monitoring, testing, surgery, disrespect (when they treat you like a less than) and hopelessness. So I started putting a couple of drops of Lugols in my Decaf, half caff or hot tea each day and within a couple if weeks, I noticed the texture of my breast tissue was less "ropy" feeling inside. The tissue right below my breasts was lumpy and it improved. And this is TMI and kind of embarrassing but, for tge first few weeks, my breast seemed to be "sweating" out this smelly moisture even when I was in a cool environment and not exercising and all the while, the lumpy, rope texture improved. I'm also down a out 22 pounds on carnivore in 8 weeks. Used to exercise 2 times a day on regular low carb and keto but never lost an ounce

For hypothyroid people

okay so after noticing 5 ponths postpartum my energy was literally nothing i would sleep 16 hours a day and take 2 naps in the day. no matter how great i ate and excercise i couldnt lose weight ! for me that was the biggest red flag.i had to quit my job too ....my hair was dry like if all i did was smoke cigarrettes my skin was dry my nails started peeling ...i decided to go to the doctor after a month of experiencing these symptons i thought something was not right so i went january 6,2017 to be told i had a goiter hypothyroidism borderline Diabetes ..... the first thing i did was cry literally everyday i would wake up thinking i wasnt going to live to be by my newborn son side. they gabe me syntheroid and it worked for a week but then i experienced dramatic weight gain acne and depression so i stopped the syntheroid 2 weeks in ....then i tried a gluten free raw diet but that didnt give me my energy it just helped my my stomach and digestive issues i had at the time ... i was tired feeling like crap so i did some research and found that a goiter was the result of a iodine defficiency so i decided to go on amazon and find out if they had supplement and i found lugols iodine drops. imediatley i went to read the reviews and to find that this had gave peoples energys back ... well im proof to tell you that its absolutley true !!!!!!! in a week !JUST A WEEK i was ables to wake up at 6 in the morning with only 5 hours of sleep wow!! and my husband even noticed that i no longer complained to get up i just jumped out of bed ! my hair is growing again after a 7 month halt it went through my skin is not pale its my normal skin color .... and my nails stopped peeling ... im not a doctor but i also advise this if you have hypothyroidism i reccomend you get tested for candida because i found out i had candida so you have to make a protocol that will work for candida and hypothyroidism . i take collagen powder in the morning to help heal the seals in my gut .... i started eating fermented things like kombucha , saerkraet , and apple cider vinegat to regain my gut while taking iodine drops for my thyroid issues , also im taking wormwood extract for candida so all this together and a gluten free low fruit cooked veggie diet i will say im on the path to healing ...NEVER GIVE UP if i had given uo and believed doctors i had a incurable disease i wouldnt be where i am now 2 months later .. believe in yourself dont let your family tell you that medicine is your only choice find supportive people in the raw food and naturalist community . Before you give up when you are starting the path to healing i will say changing to a cleaner diet all this detoxing food will give you a pretty bad detox effect if you jump on it too quickly i would say start incorperating things slowly so your body can adjust to it or unlike me suffer 3 weeks of sneezing cold and flu symtoms due to rushing into detox ...but if you do take my route THEIR IS A LIGHT AT THE ENND OF THE TUNNEL i am feeling so much better and would do it again anyday to regain my health ..GOODLUCK HAPOY HEALING BELIEVE IN YOURSEL

Great for eczema/atopic dermatitis

I take iodine for my eczema/atopic dermatitis outbreaks. Mine is closer to psoriasis than it is to eczema. It's been a problem for over a decade, and very little has helped. I read that iodine can be good, and Lugol's seems to be the best from all that I've read. The trick with iodine is to start slow and work your way up until you find the right dosage for you so you don't have a bad reaction. Most people start way too high. Just use 1 drop/day every other day in the beginning, and after two weeks, increase to 1 drop daily. Wait another two weeks and increase to two drops daily, etc. Stop if you have a bad reaction, or when you find the right dose to treat your problem. For me, I take 4 drops daily, and have no bad reaction. My problem area is my hands because I wash them so much, so they're prone to outbreaks, and I haven't had any bad outbreaks since I've been taking 4 drops daily (I was at 3 drops for two months or so, but it wasn't quite enough; increasing just one drop made a big difference). Whenever I see I might be starting to get another outbreak, I just increase to 5-6 drops daily for a few days, and it clears right up. Just know that depending on your condition, the severity, and your gender/size, you may need more or less. A friend of mine uses this to help with wound problems she has from Diabetes, and she takes double what I take. I'm also a petite female, so that puts me on the lower spectrum. Most people will be somewhere between 3 and 10 drops daily. If you have severe health problems, you may need more than 10
