Poor source of magnesium in otherwise good formula.
I am extremely picky about the supplements I take as I am chronically ill. Finding a bone building formula has been essential, but also somewhat frustrating. It is recommended that you take magnesium, along with other things like vitamins D and K, along with your calcium for absorption and the proper balance in the cells. This should be simple, but it's not. Virtually all of the bone formulas from reputable companies use magnesium oxide as their form of magnesium. However, that form is not well absorbed by the human body. Instead, it draws water into the stool, and has a laxative effect. This left me in a quandary: pay a whole lot more per day for a more expensive brand that uses a chelated magnesium like mag glycinate, or take this much more economical formula and a separate chelated magnesium. That is what I've chosen to do as I have constipation issues, and the magnesium oxide in the Jarrow formula helps keep me regular. If you are prone to Diarrhea, you might want to look elsewhere for your bone support formula as this will only make your Diarrhea worse. In any case, be sure to take them with food
