I'm taking Jarrow Formulas L-Carnitine Fumarate 500 together with Alpha Lipoic Sustain. While I'm uncertain about its effects on muscle building, I did notice that my shoulder pain has vanished when using Alpha Lipoic.

I will not purchase this again, as it caused such constipation that I thought I might have to intervene for relief. The pain was excruciating, so I do not recommend experimenting if you have any intestinal issues. I prefer another type of L-Carnitine, a liquid one, which I take with chlorophyll to avoid problems. Definitely not buying this again.
