Useful drug for improving brain function. The packaging of gel capsules is comfortable for taking. I haven't noticed a difference between gel and powder forms, as both seem effective. My mum can only take gel capsules due to gastrointestinal issues. Phosphatidylserine helps delay age-related cognitive impairment, including memory and concentration difficulties. I noticed improvements in memory, concentration, and motivation after just 30 days with one gel per day, which has eased formulating my thoughts and learning foreign languages. This is excellent supportive therapy.

Cognition improved post-stroke

Jarrow is a reliable brand for phosphatidyl-l-serine, which isn’t always easy to find due to cost. I find the soft-gels handy for my mother who has dementia. After a stroke at 83, her cognition has improved somewhat, likely aided by these capsules and my support. I take them for myself as well, just in case.

Studies indicate that up to 400 mg of phosphatidylserine daily enhances memory and thinking skills, particularly in individuals with cognitive impairment. It plays a crucial role in cell membranes, helping regulate neurotransmitters, thus stabilising mood and mitigating stress and anxiety symptoms.

Blood flow improved

I bought phosphatidylserine for older relatives suffering from memory decline. It promotes blood flow in the brain and enhances cell function, declining with age. There appears to be a synergistic effect when combined with DHA supplements. Although the cost is high for 30 tablets, I believe it's worth trying.

Stabilisation of condition
I bought phosphatidylserine for my grandmother dealing with dementia. It seems to contribute to stabilising her condition. I'm combining it with Ginkgo biloba for added benefits.

Relieves dementia symptoms
Phosphatidylserine is a crucial phospholipid in the brain, naturally occurring and found in all human cells. Comprising 10-20% of brain phospholipids, a dose of 300mg is effective for memory improvement, alleviating stress and dementia symptoms, and enhancing brain function in older adults.

Better memory
I began taking this for my sleep difficulties and noticed an improvement. It is often advertised as beneficial for brain health and dementia prevention. I find that my memory noticeably improves when I use it. The capsules are a suitable size, and the brand is reliable. Although taking it three times daily is ideal, its cost means I typically take it once or twice. I recommend it.
