We investigated the role of Saccharomyces boulardii, a helpful probiotic, in combating Candida albicans, a troublesome pathogen for those with weakened immune systems.

By examining the effects on specific human intestinal cell lines, we found that both S. boulardii and its culture extract notably reduced C. albicans' ability to adhere to these cells.

Additionally, the extract lowered the production of harmful inflammatory markers, suggesting it may help manage inflammation linked to these infections. Overall, our findings highlight the potential of S. boulardii as a supportive treatment against candidiasis.

Saccharomyces boulardii reduces Candida translocation
We explored how orally administered Saccharomyces boulardii affects the translocation of Candida albicans from the gastrointestinal tract in mice. In this study, antibiotic-treated mice were challenged with C. albicans to simulate intestinal overgrowth.

We found that S. boulardii reduced the likelihood of C. albicans being detected in lymph nodes for healthy mice, but it did not lower its concentration there. However, in mice subjected to immunosuppression, S. boulardii significantly decreased both the incidence and the quantities of C. albicans translocation to various organs, showcasing its potential benefits in immunocompromised situations.

Saccharomyces boulardii's efficacy evaluated
We aimed to understand how Saccharomyces boulardii affects Candida albicans in a mouse model with chemically-induced colitis. By administering S. boulardii alongside C. albicans, we found that the yeast significantly reduced C. albicans colonization and inflammation related to the colitis.

Mice treated with S. boulardii showed lower levels of inflammatory markers and less severe symptoms than those that did not receive the yeast. Overall, our findings suggest that S. boulardii can help combat C. albicans and alleviate inflammation in this context.

Effective for thrush

This tool was recommended by my gynecologist. She mentioned that after taking them for 2-3 months, one can forget about thrush for an extended period. I was weary of this issue; the effect of suppositories and other medications lasted only a month before the problem returned. The doctor indicated that this female issue originates from the intestines and its flora. After using it, I felt great comfort in my tummy, and my gastrointestinal issues vanished during treatment. Now everything is alright (it’s been 3 months since I last took it), and my skin looks clean and smooth. I plan to take them twice a year for two months. I will definitely order again.

Helps with eczema

I discovered this drug by chance during a course with a nutritionist on restoring the gastrointestinal tract. I used Sakhromyceta bulordi + mos for 3 months and gave it to my husband, who suffered from severe eczema on his scalp that only provided temporary relief with ointments. I also struggled with a persistent discharge for years. Following a strict diet and taking Hafitol, I tried Saccharomyces bulordi + Mos and am thrilled with the results – I even stopped needing daily pads. It effectively dissolves the films caused by Candidiasis. A must-try!

Boulardi saccharomycetes counteract various pathogenic microorganisms, including Candida. They are advantageous because they do not settle in the intestines, allowing beneficial microorganisms to thrive. They effectively neutralised toxins and suppressed harmful microflora, demonstrating their efficacy for gastrointestinal disorders, including diarrhoea.

We explored how introducing probiotics in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) affected the prevalence of candidemia and candiduria in children receiving broad-spectrum antibiotics. In a retrospective study comparing two groups, we found that candidemia rates dropped significantly from 3.7% in the control group to 1.2% among those taking probiotics. Similarly, candiduria fell from 22% to 10.7%. These results suggest that probiotics may help reduce the risk of these fungal infections in critically ill children.

Our investigation looked at how the probiotic yeast Saccharomyces boulardii can help combat candidiasis, particularly by reducing the virulence of Candida albicans. We found that S. boulardii secretes compounds that diminish C. albicans's ability to grow filaments, adhere, and form biofilms. Specifically, capric acid was identified as the main contributor to these inhibitory effects. While capric acid had a significant impact, it was less effective than the full yeast extract, which had additional factors that help suppress C. albicans adhesion.

Irreplaceable helpers! I began taking Boulardi saccharomycetes after battling rotavirus. For weeks, my gastrointestinal tract was troubled, but after two days of taking these, I could see improvement in digestion. A week later, I felt immense relief—Boulardi works! My husband and I used them again during ARVI, leading to easier recovery. They are crucial when taking antibiotics as well. This yeast has proved effective and safe, confirmed by health organisations. They stimulate enzyme activity, eliminate pathogens, and support gut flora.

Using Saccharomyces boulardii helped my baby tackle intestinal candidiasis. I mixed the capsule contents with morning porridge and followed up with white coal to prevent constipation and included probiotics and vitamins. The regimen lasted seven days, three times daily, and I found that this approach efficiently treated other ailments without complicating the situation. I highly recommend this treatment for good health for children.

Rapid relief from thrush
4 people found this helpful
I began taking this for acute thrush and noticed results within days; the symptoms normalised quickly. However, I realised that the condition returned once I stopped. It's clear that nothing can fully resolve thrush without adhering to a strict diet, eliminating sugars and many carbohydrates while cleansing the body. The hard detox from Candida, while avoiding its food sources, is crucial for curing thrush effectively.

Biotherapeutic agents show potential
We reviewed placebo-controlled studies to see how biotherapeutic agents, like Saccharomyces boulardii, can help treat infections, including candidiasis. While many studies showed promising results in preventing antibiotic-related diarrhea and treating other infections, evidence specifically supporting the effectiveness of S. boulardii for vaginal candidiasis is limited. We found few adverse effects, but the sample sizes in studies were often small. Overall, it's a call to further research these microorganisms to potentially reduce our reliance on conventional antibiotics.
