These appear to absorb well. Dose per pill is great because on days I workout I sometimes take a second dose.
I just learned that this product is now recommended in a new nutrition book called It's Not the Cans: The Best Nutrient Balance for a Stronger and Healthier You UPDATE - Jan 6, 2014 I recently noticed that I do not use my Asthma inhaler as often. I have gone from multi-daily use to once or twice per week use before bedtime. Please note that the magnesium I have been taking for a year may be working in conjunction with the zinc to abate my Asthma symptoms. In late December I sent my brother in Chicago (56 years old) this Zinc/Copper product along with some others (Citracal Petites, Opti-Men multivitamin, Potassium pills, Magnesium capsules, Coconut Oil to cook in). At the time he had a lingering cold and a lingering pulled hamstring. After two days of this product and the others his cold was gone. Another day or two later his pulled hamstring was noticeably much better (far less painful). He called me to tell me this and he and he thanked me. I am not sure which of the products I sent or combination of products was likely to help those issues. This Zinc/Copper was one of the products that I sent to him. UPDATE - Early Dec 2013 After three or so weeks of daily use I have started taking this product only three to four days per week; Monday, Wednesday, Friday and often Saturday. I take GNC Gentlesorb Iron (18mg) on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Once your levels have built up you don't need much to maintain those levels. The average person purges approx 2 or so milligrams of iron per day from their body (very slow). So you don't need to take iron every day to build or maintain an ample supply in your system. Too much can be harmful. I feel that alternating these products each day (Zinc/Iron) makes it easier to remember to take them and also gives my body a day to use or purge any excess. I am also certain that my food contains small amounts of these elements so skipping a day should be fine. This Zinc product also contains Copper which is very convenient as well since zinc depletes copper. I don't always stick to the same days but I try to. I did take the iron pills every day for ten days before cutting back to three days per week. I do eat red meat but not as often as I use to. Zink, copper, iron, and something else compete for absorption. If you eat red meat daily you may not need iron supplements. I eat red meat once and sometimes twice per week. I do eat dark leafy salads such as dark Romaine or Kale which has some iron. I eat tons of chicken and some salmon mainly. END UPDATE Full disclaimer: I have never had my blood tested for levels of Zinc nor Copper nor Testosterone. I take one of these per day. On days that I work out I sometimes take an additional dose (not at the same time). The capsules are extremely small so anyone should be able to take them. The only measurement I can offer as to the effectiveness of this product is my sexual endurance has improved noticeably (returned to days of being in my 20s) as well as my lean muscle mass. i have also dropped three pounds without changing anything else. I am 48 years old and I have still been performing well sexually but not as well as I use to. I've played around over the past year or so with substances such as Longjack to regain my vitality. The first batch of Longjack I bought was a miracle drug. OMG! I was the rock of Gibraltar! My workout at the gym also went much better. The 2nd and 3rd batches I bought did not do much if anything and did not look as dark as the first batch. While reading about potential alternatives other than Longjack to increase testosterone Zinc popped up several times. I openly admit i have never had my T levels tested. I simply know my body very well and have a lot of experiences to make comparisons and draw conclusions. Within a few days of taking this product I began waking up in the morning with extremely firm erections again (the rock was back). The same occurred with the first batch of Longjack that I used for four months until the bag was empty. I cycled Longjack as recommended so the 100 grams lasted for quite some time (approx four months). I researched the proper levels of Zinc as well as its interaction with Copper, Iron, and such. So I chose to try this product. The upper daily limit for Zinc is 40 mg which meant I could take up to two of these in a single day (30 mg) if I chose to. The daily recommended amount is around 11 mg (depends on age, gender and such). The fact that this product also contains copper is another reason I purchased it. Our bodies work best with a proper ratio of elements vs overloading on any single element. The fact that my vigor has returned gives me a lot of confidence in this product. I have firmer more frequent erections. I also look leaner but workout the same amount. I also find that I nolonger get the occasional cough like I use to that would last a day or two. BTW, I also started eating eggs again per something I read. I buy Free Range eggs. They taste better and are lower in cholesterol than typical eggs. The eggs are brown. Anyway, I read that testosterone is produced inside the cholesterol (or by-product of) that we ingest. The foods I typically enjoy eating (for two decades) just happen to be very low in cholesterol. So I now eat one scrambled egg four or five days per week cooked in coconut oil. The article I read showed the guy had better good/bad cholesterol levels and ratios when he reintroduced scrambled eggs to his diet. His blood was tested before and three months after. His T levels increased as well with the zinc and the eggs added to his diet. I will get tested in a month or so. Try this product. Please do not go the road of mega-dosing on Zinc or any other mineral. Too much is very bad for you and can kill you. If you are a gym rat then you may consider two of these a few days per week vs one pill (I'd take them separately though). I gave this product four stars vs five only because I have yet to have my blood tested. If not for that I would have given five stars based on my experience with this product. I sincerely hope this review helps you to make an informed decision
