Zinc oxide mitigates diarrhea impacts
We explored how zinc oxide (ZnO), often used as a feed additive, affects diarrhea and gut health in piglets infected with the ETEC K88 strain. Through careful observation, we found that piglets suffering from this infection exhibited significantly increased fecal scores compared to those not affected. The ETEC K88 strain harms the small intestine, leading to a loss of villus height and a decrease in important antioxidant activities.

Our findings revealed that ZnO administration counteracts these negative effects effectively. It not only improved the overall health of the intestine but also enhanced its ability to combat oxidative stress. We also observed a balanced restoration of gut microbiota, as ZnO helped normalize the populations of certain beneficial bacteria altered by the infection.

In summary, our study indicates that ZnO can play a vital role in easing diarrhea in piglets infected with ETEC K88 by reducing intestinal damage, supporting antioxidative defenses, and restoring healthy gut flora.

I had a terrible experience with this supplement. It caused severe diarrhoea when taken in high doses; I believe combining copper and zinc in one tablet isn’t advisable.

Good for course use
This zinc is effective for a course, given its importance as a cofactor for over 300 enzymes. Deficiency symptoms include hair loss and decreased immunity. I've taken this zinc before, and it contains copper to prevent deficiency. When I need urgent immunity support, I use higher doses.

The endocrinologist referred me to the doctor, but I found that zinc sulfate is the cheapest form and can be toxic, causing vomiting and diarrhea. I noticed nausea when taking it on an empty stomach. Although I take zinc for hypothyroidism and it helps with recovery from colds, I will request a different form after I finish this one.

Immune support benefits
Zinc is vital for many bodily functions, including immune system support. Low levels increase infection risks, and it may help with diarrhoea, especially in malnourished children. It’s beneficial for sexual health too and helps in memory and cognitive functions.

I ordered this for my parents after they had Covid. My father benefited, but my mother experienced side effects including nausea and diarrhoea.

Excellent zinc composition! Chelated zinc can be combined with copper, and it helps immensely during viruses. To strengthen immunity against colds, I recommend taking 30 mg of zinc and vitamin C every two hours. However, be cautious with high doses; zinc should be taken separately from carotenoids and iron.

Hair loss help
I purchased this for hair loss and slight diarrhoea, but it has helped a bit. However, I experienced some heartburn.
