We explored the potential of pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) as a heart protector in rats. In our study, rats experienced conditions simulating heart attacks, with some receiving PQQ beforehand or at the start of recovery.
We found that PQQ significantly reduced heart damage and improved heart function, even showing a dose relationship. Importantly, it also cut down on harmful compounds in heart tissue without causing negative side effects. Overall, PQQ seems promising as a treatment for heart issues.
