How do I love thee PQQ? Let me count the ways! VITAL for cardiac patients.
How do I love thee PQQ? Let me count the ways! My husband has severe congestive heart failure. So bad that in March 2008 I was told by a local electrophysiologist that I "don't understand you are taking your husband home to die... that he will be dead within 2 weeks, probably a few days." Well, being stubborn, I reached out to my friends who introduced me to the book Sinatra Solution by Cardiologist Dr. Stephen Sinatra, MD where we put Metabolic Cardiology to work. One of the keys in Metabolic Cardiology is co-enzymeQ10. We later learned about ubiquinol, then more recently about PQQ after experiencing significant cardiac decline thanks to overzealous use of fluoroquinolone antibiotics by several doctors. We discovered that FQ antibiotics are infamous for damaging mitochondrial DNA. Great. Just great. NONE of the medical professionals informed us of this issue, NONE of the medical professionals took ownership for helping him recover after he was once again seriously harmed at the hands of so-called medical professionals. Once I uncovered the power of PQQ we put it to work. Within a few days it was quite evident that when he took QH PQQ he was somewhat functional again, but when it had been more than 12 hours since a dose of QH PQQ he was once again a nearly bedridden cardiac patient. The real truth was the day that we believe that ONLY due to taking 4 to 6 QH PQQ a day, was he able to attend an MLB baseball game to watch our beloved Cardinals in action (see the included photo). Ubiquinol is vital to the health of mitochondria for ATP production. The QH PQQ is a GREAT source of these vital nutrients, particularly for cardiac patients and those wanting the very best energy production in their bodies. Since we discovered PQQ we realized another problem - those FQ antibiotics also set the stage for other unwanted intestinal situations. Once we combined the QH PQQ with intestinal support of Jarrow Forumulas Saccharomyces Boulardii MOS along with Garden of Life Ultimate Care 34 strain probiotics the turnaround was quite remarkable. Bottom line, the more grave the situation, the more vital it is to try everything possible to support the heart and overall health. This is what we've been doing the past nearly EIGHT YEARS since he was given a grim prognosis, We're fully confident that given a few more weeks he'll be firmly back on his feet cardiac wise. We owe the credit for this remarkable turn around for our friend who introduced us to the Sinatra Books, Dr. Stephan Sinatra for publishing such vital information validating that yes, indeed, metabolic cardiology WORKS as well as the researchers and companies like Jarrow Formulas who bring the latest in nutrition science available to us. Still wondering if PQQ is safe? PQQ is found naturally in beans, parsley, green tea, potatoes, fermented foods and more; human breast milk is one of the highest sources of natural PQQ. Since learning about PQQ being naturally available in human breast milk (and the significance that one of the highest food sources of PQQ is in breast milk...) I've realized the significance that PQQ is likely vital for the infant to develop strong mitochondrial DNA particularly in the developing heart. I'm floored that I've never seen PQQ mentioned on an infant formula label.... perchance the increased usage of infant formula without PQQ be linked to the increasing rates of cardiovascular disease and muscular dysfunction common in today's western society? I'd like to see more research on this relevant topic
