Taking one of these when consuming anything with milk allows me to drink a large glass of milk without any symptoms. At 60, I never had issues until last year, when I experienced severe bloating and pain from lactose. Now, I take these pills and they don’t merely diminish the symptoms; they eliminate them entirely. I am lactose intolerant, and it was quite frustrating having to make separate meals. My doctor recommended these pills, and they significantly improved my situation! I have no gas, bloating, or stomach pain now. Sometimes I wake up with a little gas, but it's negligible compared to before. I’ve started recommending this to everyone with dairy issues. After taking these lactaid caplets, I had a litre of whole milk and experienced no discomfort or bloating, which is unusual for me. I often dealt with bloating and pain from dairy, yet since using these caplets, I don’t worry anymore. I’ve accidentally forgotten to take them before dairy on multiple occasions and felt fine. I switched to a single pill dose version of Lactaid to save time but ended up with bloating, gas, and stomach pain. The inactive ingredients in this formulation caused problems for me. Once I returned to the original formulation requiring three pills, my symptoms cleared up. This has been a learning experience about how our bodies react to different ingredients.
