Brought my hormone levels back to normal
I personally take DHEA in addition with my infertility hormone treatments. I'm 28 and was diagnosed with premature ovarian deficiency and heading towards early Menopause based on my hormone levels. My DHEA levels were at 52.7 ug/dL, which is very low. My doctor asked me to start taking 75mg per a day; I take them all at once in the morning. After a couple weeks, I went in to get blood work done to check my hormone levels and they were back to normal range based on the time of my cycle! I don't have any bad side effects that are listed. My sex drive was up until I started my other hormone enjections which made it calm down. I personally don't feel more energetic, nor do I feel more focused; I was actually the opposite and was sleeping most of the day and I have had a hard time remembering things, which is not normal for me. The pills are very small and light, making it easy to swallow. I also have bad acid reflux and so I always look for capsules because they are not hard on the stomach, nor do they make me burp, not give a nasty after taste! If you are taking more than 25mg, it is recommended to have monthly or bimonthly blood work done to confirm that the dose is correct for you! Taking too much or not enough really effects a women's hormone levels and can be dangerous to your health. Update: as stated, I started with 75mg/day. After about a month, I noticed acne on posterior (back) side of my thighs and gluten. I was advised to reduced down to 25mg/day and acne slowly disappeared from those area. I stopped taking DHEA as soon as we achieved pregnancy! ðŸ¤
