PLEASE – JUST THE HEALTHFUL THERAPEUTIC NUTRIENTS – NO ADDITIVES
WHY... Oh WHY do supplement companies have to ruin their products with so many nontherapeutic and possibly harmful additives? Why do they have to use stearates? Why do they have to use MALTODEXTRIN? Maltodextrin is often derived from corn. Most U.S. corn is GMO. In addition, any corn products would be contraindicated in a person with corn allergies. Also, when any protein containing food such as corn is processed into such things as maltodextrin, the result is FREE glutamate. So the MALTODEXTRIN would most likely contain FREE glutamate. This is a harmful excitotoxin. Look up FREE glutamate or glutamic acid in any of the medical research engines such as PubMed, Cambridge, PlosOne, Science Direct, etc. You will be astounded at all the diseases linked to FREE Glutamate: diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, eye diseases, Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, Autism, Altzheimer's, ALS, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue, etc. Life Extension may argue that "there's only a tiny amount" in the product, but think of the cumulative effect of all the free glutamate in all processed foods and supplements (free glutamate can be hidden in the form of citric acid, gums, guar gum, carrageenan, starch, modified starch, gelatin, beet juice, annato, caramel color, etc., etc., etc.) There are some companies who are now creating supplements without all the additives. (Pure Encapsulations is far from perfect but they do have some supplements that only contain a cellulose capsule with no other additives!
