The Benefits of Vitamin K, Migraine Treatment

Vitamin K plays a vital role in blood clotting and bone health, but its potential benefits for preventing or alleviating migraines are not well-established according to available medical research. While there have been limited studies exploring the relationship between Vitamin K and migraines, the evidence is currently insufficient to draw definitive conclusions. As of now, there is no widely accepted recommendation for using Vitamin K supplements as a primary treatment for migraines.

One study published in the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in 2015 examined the impact of vitamin K2 supplementation on the frequency and intensity of migraines for a small group of participants. The results suggested that vitamin K2 supplementation might decrease the frequency and severity of migraines. However, the study was limited by its small sample size and the absence of a control group, rendering it difficult to establish a direct causal relationship.
