Here, one can see that the product contains Sulfur Dioxide. Why Schiff would elect to use this particular sulfite to preserve the capsules makes no sense. It's already banned for use with some foods. It's toxic. The overall product seems excellent... except for this one very undesirable aspect
Read More...About 5 years ago my cholesterol was high so my doctor told me to take 3000 MG of fish oil a day. I opted for 1500 MG of krill oil a day instead and so far so good. No changes to diet and way less exercise in the last 2 years and still staying in the normal range. I tried the kirkland brand of krill oil but everytime I opened the bottle my cat would come running like it's treat time. Not with the megared, in fact, it kind of has a candy smell and taste. Since Costco doesn't sell megared any more I try to catch it on sale here on amazon. It is a little pricey but worth the health benefits

Read More...I started taking Mega Red several years ago on the recommendation of my ophthalmologist to help with my severe dry eyes that was preventing me from wearing my contacts. I think I'm going to return to using the 33% more krill oil Mega Red, the Ultra strength gel caps are huge & I don't feel like they work as well. By about 8-9 pm I have to take my contacts out because they are so dry. when I was using the 33% more krill oil Mega Red, I would almost forget to take my contacts out before bedtime, they felt that natural. The gel cap is also less than half the size. I dread taking these horse pills, never even thought about the others. Still a Mega Red fan, just not the Ultra
