Review of: Nature Made Melatonin 10 Mg Tablets
In the past, I've relied on an antihistamine tablet as my ‘go-to' for those nights when I was having an issue getting drowsy in a timely manner. And while the antihistamine tablets work, I still wanted to try something that could, perhaps, be considered more ‘natural'.
And, for me, melatonin falls into that more ‘natural' category.
After trying the Melatonin for several nights, I've found that the Nature Made Melatonin works generally as well, or better, than any sleep-aid that I've used in the past. At times, the Melatonin does seem to help in giving that little extra ‘something' I need to become drowsy enough to fall asleep.
Granted, just as any other sleep aid, at least any over-the-counter sleep aid, the Melatonin isn't going to push me into a sleep if I'm not amenable to falling asleep; the Melatonin just makes it easier to get drowsy. For me, it's worked super well at least once, reasonably well a couple of other times and, on one occasion, didn't seem to help all that much.
The ‘fast dissolving' aspect of the Nature Made brand is a very nice plus. Once placed on my tongue it takes, maybe, 10 to 15 seconds for the tiny tablet to dissolve. This type of tablet also seems to be a benefit in helping the product work faster, especially compared to the harder type of tablets more commonly found on the market. And, having to only take one tablet is a nice-to-have feature.
The taste of the mixed-berry tablet is fine. Since a tablet is on my tongue for only a few seconds, I don't find anything unpleasant about the taste.
All-in-all; the Nature Made Melatonin works on par with any other sleep-aid and has the advantage of being a drug-free supplement instead of a pill made as an antihistamine. For me, that combination is something that I will be using more often.
