Vastly underrated. The secret weapon against depression.
Normally I'd get these at my local Walgreen's or CVS, but most of the stores are stocking the slightly different version that's "time release." I cannot advise that version. THIS is the one you wanna get. It will greatly, and I mean greatly, improve your mood. NOTE: When I say "this" above I mean the one pictured on the Amazon site, that has 180 mg vit C and 100 mg of Thiamin. But different Amazon sellers might have a different version, so if you want this version you need to contact the sellers to confirm. See my uploaded pictures to see the other 2 versions (plus there's a 4th type called "Time Release" and it has a very different composition so I didn't even bother with a picture). The health effects? Couldn't tell you. And I'll tell, you why; as another vitamin reviewer says in his review (of a different product) unless you're specifically targeting some ailment it's hard to say one way or the other if a supplement is really doing anything. It's virtually impossible to wake up and say "man that 300mg of zinc is really doing a great job today!" But I take a nice smattering of about 4-8 things a day depending on what I'm trying to improve, and I think they're working-but who knows? So, some time ago I started taking these as a general purpose "b" vitamin. No big deal. Then I had a personal event that was severely negative. I was down pretty bad. I wasn't really eating so I definitely wasn't regular with the vitamins. I didn't want to get a prescribed mood medicine and started researching what could be done with over-the-counter solutions. At some point I read that St. John's Wart would do the trick, but while I was researching I said "hey, I should get back in the habit of taking my vitamins" and started the Super B-Complex regimen and in about 3-4 days I was pretty light-hearted. After a good week/week and a half I could think clearly. The fog had broken. I was also back on fish oil and I think calcium. So I gradually removed each one and did the process of elimination and confirmed it's the Super B. I've tested it over and over, had other people try and they've also been shocked. I do not why it works. I do not how it works. But it's weird combo that does the trick. And I don't mess around when I find myself in a hostile or depressed mood; I know right off the bat I must have skipped these things for a day or two and get right back on them. Your mileage may vary, as they say, but I literally was in the worse frame of mind of my life and these things dug me out far enough that I could regroup. One more time-the "Time Release" version doesn't work for the mood altering effect-maybe it's doing comparable work in the health aspects, but obviously that's not where the value is as far as I'm concerned
