We set out to understand the potential of garlic extract in combating the infectious bronchitis virus (IBV), which can cause significant health issues in chickens. The study involved specific pathogen-free embryonic eggs, separated into four groups. These groups were used to analyze the effects of various concentrations of garlic extract on the virus and determine if it could help reduce the impact of IBV.
During our research, we utilized gas chromatography to identify the constituents of the garlic extract. The first group of eggs was used to determine the virus's potency. The second group received a mix of the virus and a steady amount of garlic extract, while the third group got a delayed garlic extract treatment. Finally, the last group was treated with different dilutions of garlic extract alone.
The results were promising: we found that garlic extract did indeed have inhibitory effects on IBV in chicken embryos. Particularly in the second and third groups, there was a notable increase in the embryonic index, indicating that the garlic extract positively influenced the embryos' response to the virus.

Eliminated lasting bronchitis
I use this product for chronic bronchitis. After previously being prescribed antibiotics, my acupuncturist suggested that garlic could kill bronchitis bacteria. Four years ago, I started taking two doses four times a day when unwell. I’ve not suffered from lasting bronchitis since!
