Not for Serious Acid Reflux!
This was a hard one for me to review. I have some pretty serious acid Reflux that I have been to many doctors for. My current surgeon is keeping me on prilosec because it seems to be the only medication that keeps it at bay. I have tried everything from diet, excercise, and other medications. Nothing works. If I'm not on my medication, I get acid relfux even after a glass of water, a salad, or even a glass of milk. But the downside to prilosec is that it really isn't the best for you body, it is too powerful. I decided to try ginger root to see if that would work. I started by taking it every day with my Prilosec, then slowly stopped taking my Prilosec. The first day of not taking Prilosec I had heartburn in the evening. The Ginger Root seems to work for part of the day, but just isn't enough. I kept trying a few more times, but it just isn't enough. Bottome line. I must say I am impressed it even worked at all. I would defineantly recommend this to anyone with minor acid Reflux issues....but not for more advance cases
