My 3 year old son has constipation issues after he stopped using diapers. We've used exlax, Miralax, suppository, enemas, fiber gummies all of these gave him cramps, stomach ache, and vomiting. He ended up in the hospital after we had spent the weekend at Disney and gave him an enema because he hadn't pooped in 5 days. Enema caused vomiting and dehydration and beginning stages of kidney failure. After seeing the GI specialist he advised we should change his diet and use Miralax. We've used Miralax before and my son screams in pain, we can't leave the house because he runs to the potty every five minutes, and he has accident in his pants. GI reviewed this medicine and gave me his blessing to use on my son. 3 months later, We just got back from the GI. GI gave him the all clear because my baby is pooping every day. I break open the pill. He takes about 4 pinches of this pill in his milk sippy cup. He has about 2-3 milk cups a day. Dr said he needs to take this for a year and in every milk bottle. It did take about 4 days for him to start going but by week 2 he was going every other day. After 2 months he is going every day! Stool is soft but not diarrhea. IIhad used this product 10 yyears ago,it cured my IBS. I used it again when I was pregnant, it also cured my constipation during pregnancy and after delivery. I took this and phyllus task husk.I recently started a gluten free diet and I'm back to taking these. I have to take 3 at night. No cramping, no Hot flashes, no wishing for death like I did with laxatives. Thank you!
