My busy lifestyle doesn't always lend itself to healthy eating. I thought Garden Goodness might be a better Alive choice than Nature's Way Ultra Potency that I've been taking for years. What I didn't realize until I had a bottle in hand was that two tablets must be taken to achieve one full serving of fruits and vegetables. That means this 60 tablet bottle lasts only one month. I don't mind taking supplements, but two of these huge pills is too much.
After this bottle is gone, I'm returning to the Ultra Potency formulation. For me it's a better value in cost and ingredients. Ultra Potency is a one-a-day, so 60 tablets last two months. While that formulation doesn't contain a full serving of fruits and veggies, it does contain 60 mg. worth (versus Garden Goodness 1.4g). In addition, Ultra Potency has lots more other ingredients that Green Goodness doesn't include (greens blend, mushrooms, digestive enzymes, bioflavonoids, etc).
I'm not knocking Garden Goodnessâ€"it's a good formulation for someone who really needs an extra serving of fruits and vegetables, and is specifically focused on that. Even on hectic days, though, I still think I'm eating enough fresh fruit/veggies to count for something. Combined with Ultra Potency helps balance what I'm missing nutritionally.
I hope Nature's Way considers reformulating Garden Goodness into one tablet per day if possible. As you can see from the photo, all Alive supplements are large. As expected, Garden Goodness is noticeably greener in color than Ultra Potency
