Salmon oil reduces cholesterol levels
We evaluated how concentrated salmon oil, abundant in n-3 fatty acids, affects high cholesterol levels. In a two-month trial involving 27 patients with high cholesterol and triglycerides, we observed noteworthy reductions in lipid levels.

The most significant decrease was in triglycerides, dropping from 295.8 to 219.8 mg/dl. Overall, cholesterol levels also fell from 295 to 268.4 mg/dl for all participants. Our findings suggest that incorporating n-3 fatty acids into diets can meaningfully lower lipid levels in individuals with hyperlipidemia.

Our findings showed that those with high triglycerides experienced a notable decrease in triglyceride levels and an impressive increase in HDL (good cholesterol). Similarly, individuals with high cholesterol saw significant reductions in both cholesterol and triglycerides, along with an 11.6% boost in HDL.

The effect on my hair has been visible since taking this omega supplement. Although the DPA/EPA ratio is lower than others, the reputable company convinced me to try it. After a month of taking two capsules daily, my hair noticeably grew stronger. I also experienced softer, moisturised skin. I can’t say whether it’s the extraction method or antioxidants, but the effect is undeniably present. Overall, I rate this omega highly for its impact on my hair, especially during winter.
