Baitouweng Decoction effectively reduces diarrhea
We examined the impact of Baitouweng Decoction, a traditional Chinese herbal remedy, on diarrhea caused by dampness-heat conditions. By using Wistar rats, we created various test groups to observe its effectiveness compared to a control group.

Our findings showed that Baitouweng Decoction significantly improves diarrhea symptoms, suggesting it works by reducing inflammation and preventing cell death. The study also highlighted key metabolic compounds like biotin that play a role in its healing effects.

We developed a new rat model to study diarrhea caused by a commonly problematic gut bacteria. By using metronidazole and egg white, we found that these rats were able to develop diarrhea, unlike hamsters that typically died without showing symptoms.

When we treated the rats with the probiotic strain MIYAIRI 588, we observed a significant decrease in the incidence of diarrhea. This suggests that probiotics could be a helpful option in managing diarrhea related to gut infections. Overall, our findings indicate the potential effectiveness of probiotics in reducing diarrhea risk.

Loosey Goosey. I can’t comment on its effectiveness for hair, skin, and nails as I had to stop taking it due to persistent diarrhea. Each time I used it, I faced a whole day of being "loose". Disappointing, especially given its price and my past love for New Chapter vitamins.
