I take this combined with D-3 to combat hair loss and strengthen bones, nails, and hair. It’s easy to swallow, doesn't cause heaviness or nausea, and I use it for 3-4 months annually to maintain its benefits. Ensure there’s a 3-4 hour gap between doses of zinc or iron.

There are disadvantages to this product, particularly as the normal absorption of calcium requires complex elements. The citrate dosage and price were appealing, but I could only give it 2 stars due to severe nausea that followed within 4 hours after taking it. This was noted by others in the age range of 20 to 70.

Intense waves of nausea
2 people found this helpful
This product seems decent value, but it caused me intense waves of nausea regardless of whether I had an empty or full stomach. I recommend taking only one at a time. I was disappointed with the choice of Vitamin D2 instead of D3, and magnesium oxide, which are lower in absorption quality. I hope the next version improves these ingredients. My rating suffered due to the nausea experienced.

Nausea is a sensation that often precedes vomiting and is characterized by an uneasy feeling in the stomach. It can be caused by a variety of factors, including motion sickness, certain medications, food poisoning, or underlying health conditions. The experience of nausea can range from mildly uncomfortable to intensely distressing and is often accompanied by other symptoms such as sweating, increased salivation, or a feeling of lightheadedness.
Many people experience nausea at some point in their lives, making it a common issue. Fortunately, there are several remedies and treatments available that can help alleviate this unpleasant sensation. Over-the-counter medications, home remedies like ginger tea, and lifestyle changes, such as eating smaller meals or avoiding certain triggers, can be effective in reducing nausea. However, if nausea is persistent or accompanied by severe symptoms like severe abdominal pain or fever, it’s essential to consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Calcium citrate is a calcium salt of citric acid, widely used as a dietary supplement to provide an additional source of calcium for individuals who may not get enough of this essential mineral from their diets. It is particularly popular for its enhanced bioavailability, which means that the body can absorb calcium from calcium citrate more effectively than from other forms of calcium, such as calcium carbonate. This supplement is especially beneficial for those with decreased stomach acid, such as older adults, as it does not require acid for absorption.
In addition to aiding in bone health, calcium plays a crucial role in muscle function, nerve transmission, and blood clotting. Typically, calcium citrate is available in tablet and powder forms, making it easy to incorporate into daily routines. It’s important to follow dosing recommendations and possibly consult with a healthcare provider before starting any supplement regimen to ensure it meets individual dietary needs and health objectives.
