Emotional calmness achieved

Niacin for ADHD has been life-changing for me. I can only consume flash-free niacin due to itchiness from the flush type. Taking two tablets daily significantly reduced my ADHD-related impulsivity. By increasing to three tablets, I experienced even greater emotional stability. Since my ADHD diagnosis as an adult, managing anger has been a challenge. However, niacin has made those overwhelming feelings diminish. I stopped taking it for a week and instantly reverted to feeling frustrated. I realised I must consistently take niacin to maintain calmness and emotional control, especially when parenting. It's pivotal for a manageable life. Other supplements I take include B50 and vitamin E. I hope my experience helps others facing similar emotional control challenges, particularly regarding anger.

Anger management improved

I opted for flash-free niacin to manage my impulsivity related to ADHD symptoms. After a year of adjustment, I found that taking 500mg of niacin twice and 250mg once daily worked well for me. I noticed the significant impact nutrition can have on ADHD; I no longer experience anger in previously frustrating situations. Due to allergies, I must stick to flash-free to avoid the itchiness linked to flushing. As this version is less effective, higher doses are necessary.

My son, who has ADHD, has been taking niacinamide for six months without visible effects. However, after he ran out of it and I allowed him to try my leftover stock, I noticed he sleeps better and is more stable. This seems to suit him better.

Reduced irritability noticed
My children prefer the taste of flash-free niacin, which is odourless and slightly sweet. Mixing it with protein or yogurt mask the taste effectively. I've been administering it for three months, and while there's no dramatic change in my son's hyperactivity, his tolerance has improved. I've observed less irritability in myself as well. Fortunately, none of us experienced flushes from niacin.
