Lutein reduces inflammation in TAO
We investigated how lutein might help with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO), a condition marked by inflammation and fibrosis. In our in vitro study, lutein was applied to orbital fibroblasts before introducing fibrotic and inflammatory triggers.

We observed that lutein reduced important markers related to fibrosis and inflammation, such as ACTA2 and IL-6, while also curtailing cell migration. The research highlights lutein's possible therapeutic role due to its ability to inhibit harmful processes seen in TAO, suggesting it could be a promising treatment option.

We examined how a living food (LF) vegan diet, packed with antioxidants, influences rheumatoid disorders. Participants consuming LF, which includes raw fruits and vegetables, nuts, and seeds, showed significant increases in beneficial nutrients like carotenoids and vitamins C and E. Remarkably, those following the LF diet experienced reduced joint pain and stiffness, leading to improved overall health. These positive changes were not only reflected in subjective reports but also in objective assessments. Overall, our findings suggest that a diet rich in plant-based antioxidants may greatly benefit individuals with autoimmune disorders, particularly rheumatoid arthritis.

Lutein boosts carotenoids, not cognition
We investigated the effectiveness of a four-month lutein supplementation in enhancing carotenoid status and cognitive function in individuals with relapse-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). Our study involved 21 participants who were split into placebo and treatment groups.

While we found that lutein did boost carotenoid levels, it did not show a significant impact on cognitive performance overall. However, there was a promising connection between increased macular carotenoids and improvements in attention and memory. This paves the way for more extensive studies to explore lutein's potential cognitive benefits in MS.

Regrettably, this lutein supplement did not provide any benefits for me. Despite having high hopes due to its reputed advantages for eye health, after adhering to the recommended dosage, I found no relief from the persistent eye fatigue, redness, or dryness that result from prolonged computer use. I was particularly disappointed given the encouragement I received to try this supplement. Now, I'm considering alternative options, as I had expected better outcomes.

I chose to try lutein due to my poor eyesight and frequent computer usage. After completing the full course of this supplement, I've noticed significant improvements; my eyes feel less tired, and there's a notable reduction in watering and discomfort. I am very pleased with the results and will re-order.

This product has been fantastic! I usually experienced exhaustion in my eyes from long hours at the computer and wearing contact lenses, often leading to headaches. Since I began taking the Lutein complex, I’ve noticed my headaches have vanished, and my eyes no longer sting or appear red. It sounds implausible, but it’s genuinely made a difference. I've been using it for a month now and will certainly reorder.

This supplement did not meet our expectations. After about a month of use for both my mother and me, we experienced a decline in eye comfort, with a persistent sensation of dryness and a sandy feeling. We have ceased taking it and are now exploring other products that might be more effective for our needs.

I never had issues with my eyes until this year when I began to experience discomfort from constant computer use. After taking lutein for just over a week, all of my issues, including dryness and heaviness, disappeared. I also ordered it for my husband, who has chronic dry eye syndrome, and he hasn’t needed to use his usual expensive drops since starting this. Strongly recommend for any eye-related problems!

Unfortunately, both my husband and I observed no improvement after two months of taking this lutein supplement. We each took one capsule daily, yet our eyesight remained unchanged, and we continued to experience redness and fatigue from computer use. This lack of effectiveness is disheartening, and we will not be purchasing this product again.

I ordered this supplement for my father, who had been experiencing significant eye fatigue and blurry vision due to his work as a driver. After two weeks of use, he noticed a remarkable improvement, reporting no more fatigue, itching, or sandy sensations in his eyes. This has positively impacted his daily life.

Good for fatigue

I have been wearing lenses for many years and spend over 12 hours a day at my laptop. By the end of the day, my eyes felt so tired that everything was blurry. I started ordering Lutein on a blogger's recommendation. After taking it, I no longer feel as if I have sand in my eyes, and no more burst vessels. This supplement is truly effective, and my eyes feel perfect.
