I'm learning that there are so many variations in Garlic supplements and it's often difficult to tell what you are getting. Beware of claims like Allicin "Potential." The word potential (as with this product) can mean you get very little. I was using another brand that is no longer available and this did product doesn't even come close in terms of potency. Also, I'm learning that there is more than one type of enteric coating (the coating needed to make sure the product dissolves where it's most effective - in the small intestines.) Enteric coating is expensive to make. This has a weak coating in comparison to the product I was using - very thin - and probably why the Now Garlic 5000 was not effective, as it probably dissolves in the stomach. I'm still searching for a good Garlic product. I can't recommend this one. I was able to get a refund minus shipping but had to go through the manufacturer
