Silybum marianum may reduce diarrhea
We analyzed how the food supplement Berberol®K, which includes silybin and berberine, affects diarrhea in diabetic patients struggling with dyslipidemia. In our study of 59 patients dealing with irritable bowel syndrome or diarrhea caused by metformin, we found that those taking Berberol®K experienced a notable reduction in diarrhea symptoms.

After six months, only five participants on the supplement reported diarrhea compared to 22 in the untreated group. This suggests that Silybum marianum may help alleviate diarrhea, making it a promising option for patients who are statin intolerant or struggling with gastrointestinal discomfort.

Silymarin shows limited effect on diarrhea
We examined the potential of silymarin in reducing chemotherapy-related diarrhea among other adverse reactions. Our review included 64 studies, which indicated that silymarin is generally safe and well-tolerated. While it demonstrates benefits for several conditions related to cancer treatment, its specific effect on diarrhea was less prominent, with only one study addressing this issue. Overall, we found that silymarin holds promise as a supportive treatment option, but more research is necessary to identify the best usage guidelines.

No diarrhoea now

This product is very cost-effective and boasts a rapid anti-inflammatory effect. The mix of milk thistle and glutathione is good value for money. Initially, I combined it with another high dose of glutathione. Over time, I’ve noticed that I now suffer from no diarrhoea at all, which is a significant improvement for me as I had experienced it for a long time.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. It caused terrible acne and persistent diarrhoea. Despite initially believing I was detoxing, symptoms worsened. I now question the integrity of the product I received. Beware of taking these types of supplements, as reactions can vary widely.

Rejects Glutathione
This supplement caused my diarrhoea, and I noticed that stopping it alleviated the diarrhoea. There's research indicating Glutathione helps, but my body seems to reject it every time. I prefer taking NAC instead, which is a precursor to Glutathione.
