COVID-19 exacerbates dermatitis herpetiformis
A Rare Case of COVID-19-Induced Acute Exacerbation of Oral Dermatitis Herpetiformis in a Geriatric Patient.
We observed a compelling case where a 74-year-old woman experienced a severe flare of dermatitis herpetiformis, a rare autoimmune skin condition, following a COVID-19 infection.
Initially, she presented with blisters and oral ulcers. After treatment that included hyaluronic acid mouthwash, her oral lesions showed remarkable improvement over four weeks.
Unfortunately, after contracting COVID-19, she had another flare-up, but again, her symptoms resolved after a month of treatment. This highlights the impact of COVID-19 on existing autoimmune conditions.

Hyaluronic acid treatments reduce wrinkles
A Randomized, Blinded, Prospective Clinical Study Comparing Small-Particle Versus Cohesive Polydensified Matrix Hyaluronic Acid Fillers for the Treatment of Perioral Rhytids.
We explored the effectiveness of two hyaluronic acid fillers in treating superficial wrinkles around the mouth. In a double-blind study involving 48 patients, we compared small-particle hyaluronic acid with lidocaine to cohesive polydensified matrix hyaluronic acid.
Both treatments reduced wrinkling, with notable results maintained for 180 days. However, the small-particle approach showed superior effectiveness as rated by both patients and investigators after the treatment period. While both products had similar safety profiles, adverse reactions included some rash among patients using cohesive matrix fillers.

Significant skin improvement
19 people found this helpful
Over seven years of struggling with atopic dermatitis post-pregnancy, I experienced numerous exacerbations with no lasting relief despite various treatments. I discovered an article by a doctor who personally dealt with arterial blood pressure issues and researched German studies. Following her advice, I took Hyaluronic acid, collagen, and wheat phytoceramides. The outcome has been remarkable; after such a long time, my red spots have diminished to minor rashes on my arms and neck. I'm overjoyed and hope this information helps others - please consult your doctor!
A rash is a noticeable change in the texture or color of the skin that can manifest in various ways, including redness, swelling, itching, or blistering. Rashes can result from a wide range of causes, such as allergies, irritants, infections, or skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis. While some rashes may be mild and resolve on their own, others might require medical attention, particularly if they are persistent, widespread, or accompanied by other symptoms like fever or pain.
Identifying the underlying cause of a rash is crucial for effective treatment. Over-the-counter antihistamines or hydrocortisone creams can alleviate mild allergic reactions or irritations. However, for more severe cases or rashes that worsen, consulting a healthcare professional is recommended to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment options. Overall, being proactive and understanding the potential triggers of rashes can help in managing and preventing them in the future.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body, particularly abundant in connective tissues, skin, and eyes. It plays a crucial role in retaining moisture, making it vital for maintaining healthy skin hydration and elasticity. As a humectant, hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, which is why it's a favored ingredient in many skincare products. When applied topically, it helps to draw moisture into the skin, leaving it plump and well-hydrated.
In addition to its hydrating properties, hyaluronic acid has gained popularity for its potential anti-aging benefits. It helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by creating a smoother skin texture. Many experts recommend incorporating hyaluronic acid into your skincare routine, particularly if you have dry or dehydrated skin, as it can complement other treatments and products effectively. Overall, hyaluronic acid is an essential component for those seeking to enhance their skin’s moisture levels and achieve a youthful glow.
Hyaluronic acid is primarily known for its hydrating properties and is widely used in skincare products to retain moisture in the skin. While it can help in soothing and providing hydration to stressed or irritated skin, its direct efficacy in treating rashes is not well-established. Rashes can vary significantly in their causes—ranging from allergic reactions to infections—so the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid may depend on the underlying issue.
If the rash is due to dryness or irritation, the hydrating qualities of hyaluronic acid might offer some relief by preventing further moisture loss and promoting skin barrier function. However, for rashes that result from other causes, such as eczema or psoriasis, it would be best to consult with a dermatologist for a targeted treatment plan. As always, patch testing on a small area of skin before fully applying any new product can help prevent worsening of the rash.
Based on user reviews, the timeline for seeing results from this supplement for rash-related conditions can vary. Many users report noticeable improvements within a month to two months of continued use. For example, one user noted that after a month of taking hyaluronic acid combined with collagen, their facial skin showed fewer rashes and appeared fresher Read Review. Another user emphasized that during their intake period of two months, their skin improved significantly, leading to the disappearance of rashes Read Review.
It's worth noting that some users implement a cycling regimen of two months on and two months off, suggesting that consistent usage followed by breaks may enhance results Read Review. However, individual experiences may vary, and it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for tailored advice.
The use of supplements like hyaluronic acid and specific creams has indeed been supported by scientific research in relation to skin health and conditions like rash. For instance, a study demonstrated that hyaluronic acid (HA) improved skin hydration and overall health without causing adverse effects, such as skin rashes or irritation, when combined with other skin-rejuvenating ingredients [1]. However, the efficacy of HA might vary in different contexts; for example, while some patients experienced minimal rashes with cohesive matrix fillers, those using HA for vaginal dryness reported significant improvement without adverse effects [4].
Moreover, MAS063DP cream has been specifically studied for its effectiveness in treating atopic dermatitis, leading to lower rates of rash in those using the cream compared to a placebo [5]. This suggests that while HA may benefit skin conditions broadly, targeted treatments like MAS063DP cream are promising for more specific issues like dermatitis. If you're considering these supplements for rash management, there is compelling evidence supporting their use, especially in formulations designed to address skin health directly.
Users have reported various improvements in their symptoms after using this supplement, particularly concerning skin health and joint pain. Many have noted a significant reduction or complete disappearance of rashes, indicating that the product may be effective for those struggling with skin conditions. For instance, one user shared that their facial skin condition improved greatly, leading to no rashes during treatment and relief from knee pain after following a two-month intake cycle Read Review. Similarly, another user highlighted a dramatic change in their skin, with rashes vanishing and joint pain alleviating during their use Read Review.
Additionally, some users have experienced unexpected benefits, such as new hair growth along with improved skin condition and reduced rashes Read Review. Another individual who had long struggled with atopic dermatitis found remarkable results, noting a reduction in red spots and minor rashes after using a combination of hyaluronic acid, collagen, and other supplements Read Review. However, results can vary significantly from person to person, and it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional before initiating any new supplement regimen.
Users have reported varying experiences when combining this supplement with other products for handling rashes. Several individuals noted that when paired with collagen and other supplements, they experienced significant skin improvements, including the reduction or complete disappearance of rashes. For example, one user shared that after using a combination of hyaluronic acid and collagen, their facial skin appeared fresher and saw a notable decrease in rashes and wrinkles within a month Read Review. Another review highlighted the successful use of hyaluronic acid, collagen, and wheat phytoceramides in alleviating longstanding atopic dermatitis, leading to fewer red spots and minor rashes Read Review.
Conversely, some users also reported challenges when combining the supplement with other ingredients. One user experienced allergies, likely due to grape seed in the formula, which resulted in a rash when taken without a capsule Read Review. This showcases the importance of individual sensitivities to specific ingredients when taking supplements, and it’s advisable to consult a healthcare professional before experimenting with combinations.
Based on user reviews, a common regimen for taking Hyaluronic Acid involves a cyclical approach, with users often following a pattern of taking the supplement for two months, followed by a two-month break. This method appears effective for many, as several users report significant improvements in their skin's condition and a reduction in rashes. For example, one reviewer noted that their facial skin improved dramatically during their intake period, alongside the resolution of rashes and joint pain Read Review. Another user echoed these sentiments, stating that they experienced a substantial improvement in their skin without rashes throughout their treatment Read Review.
However, it's worth noting that not all experiences were positive; one user reported developing rashes on their back despite recognizing the benefits for skin health Read Review. This suggests that while Hyaluronic Acid can be beneficial for treating skin issues like rashes, the right dose may vary among individuals, and some may experience adverse reactions. Therefore, users considering Hyaluronic Acid for rash treatment should consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice and dosage recommendations.

Fresh face result

I combined hyaluronic acid with collagen and vitamin C. After a month, my face appears fresher, with fewer rashes and reduced fine wrinkles at age 37. The capsules are quite large and have a snap-on lid that's more convenient for me than a screw-on one. I chose Hyaluronic Acid based on reviews and ratings!

Allergy caution

I ordered hyaluronic acid for moisturising my nose, eyes, and skin. While it performs well, I developed allergies, likely due to grape seed in the ingredients (which causes a rash for me). I split the capsule to avoid discomfort. I wouldn't recommend taking it without a capsule as the contents can irritate and cause heartburn.
